I wonder if it has something to do with the new applicants eCAS change to IP right after SA, seems CIC has changed something of their system, the IP may not mean the same as it was before.

If you take a look of the 2015 outland spreadsheet, a bunch of after April applicants is IP already.

Did you mean your IP date on eCAS was changed from Aug. 4 to Mar 23?

I'm still waiting for my IP.......sigh.

I mean one more point added below the point "medical report received".

Not sure something changed, but at least one more point add for my case from today...

I have had this new line added as well. Hope it means something coming soon.

I have the same line added either.
Mine is: We started processing your application on March 16, 2015.

I guess it may be a system update that is the date when SA is done and sent it to the VO.

Ordered the same date I received the info from my MP.

I've confirmed that my case is in the interview queue (the HK office finally replied to my enquiry email).
Hope the interview could be set up soon!

Not sure If I need to be present for the interview. I am visiting my wife this late September.

Not needed but probably wanted if possible. I will visit my wife in late November for two months during work slowdown time but I already got permission from my employer for an extension or a semi-emergency one week trip later if she is required to have an interview. Hoping for smooth sailing and no interview but still must prepare for possible storms.

I have done all the application works by ourselves, can someone advise us that if we should use a professional helper such as a lawyer or a consultant. If so, could they advise whom we should hire? and what would be their experience on how to hire these extra helps.

Thank you for your inputs and suggestions.

Hi rbbridge,
If you have already done to fill up the FAM application forms, why you still need the consultant/Lawyer. Except your case is quite complicated and complex, otherwise you can get help from this site. a lot of people here will help you to solve the problem. by the way, if you are using the agents, it may slow down your process due to the clerical work ,document transfer and etc.... so it is better to do it yourself

I am so glad that you are providing the word of encouragement, as you did so well in your case.

I do not know if my case is simple or complex. My husband was born in Vancouver and we have been married for 25 years with two kids ( both with Canadian passport). I am a US citizen and my husband and I have been living around the world due to my international work assignments. We never lived together in Canada, therefore I never needed to apply for the PR until now. Now my husband wanted to move back to Canada since his parents are getting old and sick and our kids are in University in Canada. Since I am currently living in Taiwan, therefore I applied via the Hong Kong Visa Office since its processing time seems to be shorter than NY or LA. I have the following problems:

1. Hong Kong Visa Office seemed to change its 10 month time frame to 20 month and I was also informed that US processing directly through Ottawa only takes 6 to 8 month. I am wondering if I should change visa processing office and if I do, if that would be possible? How would I do this change and also if I should write to the CIC to change visa office or file a new application. We do not have any experience and do not know what would be the correct steps to take and whom we should be asking.

2. We received our sponsorship approval on March 23 2015 and filed the application on Jan 12, 2015, then my application is forever in "Application Received" mode. I wonder if the Hong Kong Office knows what to do with my application as I do not have a Taiwan passport or one from China.

I guess it is just that our application are not the "normal one" for the visa office and I just not sure if we are doing this correctly. My husband and I have been married for so many years and we have not be separate for a long time. We just hope we are doing the correct routing for my PR application.

Any suggestions? Thank you so much!!! ;D ;D
