Received DM, submitting passport to Beijing for visa processing. Been a long but good journey, and thanks to all who followed.

my BGC is saying "we are processing your background check. we will send you message............."


what is your BGC status? Thx

Our case seems different from everyone else on forum. We did our med and background check consecutively back in Dec-Jan out in Missisauga and then case transfered to HKVO in March.

Hi, just posting here as I just got notice that my spouse's application was being sent to Hong Kong (she is living in Taiwan but from the Philippines). Just wondering how fast (in general) the Hong Kong visa office is. Any idea on when I should be receiving aor2?

Here's my current timeline:

May 1 - Documents arrived at Mississauga
June 5 - Started working on application (sponsor)
June 6 - Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR1)
July 18 - Medical Request
July 20 - Approved as sponsor
July 23 - Medical Exam
July 31 - Passed Medical Exam (status updated on cic.gc.ca GCKEY)
August 3 - Notice of application transfer (to Hong Kong)
