first, I am hoping and praying that your confirmatory comes out negative. That said, Can her mother withdraw her application and reapply ? That would enable her mother to not add her in her application since under the new rules, she is considered a major

Reapplying should be avoided if at all possible. Processing time for LCP to PR applications is 38 months.

But God forbid her confirmatory comes out positive, the application would be rejected anyways and everything has to be done from scratch anyways. Unless her mother can take her out of the application as non accompanying and not interested in coming to Canada.

Can someone point out the form to do the amendment if there is any?

There's no form for amendments.

The mother should contact the processing visa office to notify them via email of her intent to drop a dependent from her file. She should then resubmitted (by mail) the form listing her dependents, this time omitting the dependent she wants to drop (and include a covering letter indicating why the form is being re-submitted and noting the exlcusion of a dependent).

But even in that case, wouldnt the dependent ( Whether accompanying or not) be required to undergo medical and security screening?

If the OP's mom notifies CIC that she would like to amend her application so that the OP is dropped and no longer considered a dependent since she is over 18, then the OP is not required to get a medical since she is no longer considered eligible for family sponsorship.

OP - sorry to hear of your plight. I hope your test results are negative.

Hi guys, I think it's too late to drop me from the application because we went to the hospital to get the medical exams already. I asked them if we can pull of my results and they said they cannot. All records will be submitted regardless of the result. We need help on fighting for this case or else everyone will be denied. : \

It doesn't matter. Simply drop yourself from the application as a dependent. Get your mom to tell the visa officer she wants to remove you from the application completely since you are no longer a dependent.

You would automatically be removed anyways if you were to ever become common-law or get married.

Of course if the tests are all hopefully negative and there won't be any problems with medical excessive demand, then you can stay on the application.

JuhanJuhan : If you dont mind me asking, did you find out about your unconfirmed status after doing your immigration medical exam or before it?

I am asking you this because if it was before that and if after the IME, you have not been called back, its a good sign and it might mean that you are not HIV +.

I got a confirmatory after the immigration medical exam. I haven't received any feedback yet. We are waiting for the confirmatory result.

I'm so sorry that you have to wait that long.
I will be thinking of you and hoping the time will pass quickly for you.
Best of luck.

Hey OP and to all Philippine residents, there's a private organization that provides HIV testing at no cost. I saw it on TV about a week ago. According to the website, they can give you the result on the same day so if you get the chance to visit before the 3 weeks are up, you'd be able to take action beforehand.
