What are my chances to get approved sinc ei left canada? did i made a mistkae by leaving????? i just didnt want to get a deportatuion order on my rcord also wanted to show that i comply with canadian ruels??? any info on my chances to be succesful??????

Hi everyone,
I submitted my application for Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) grounds in August 2024 and received a request for biometrics in early September. I completed my biometrics on September 13, 2024. Since then, I have not received any updates on my application.

My work permit, which is a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), is set to expire in March 2025, and I am unable to renew it. I understand that processing times for H&C applications can be lengthy, but I would like to know if there are any options available to me for remaining in Canada while my application is being processed.

Additionally, I would like to know if an H&C application can still be processed if I leave the country. If I am unable to remain in Canada after March 2025, will my application still be considered?

There is a very slim chance that your H and C application will be approved if you leave Canada,it unofficially becomes obsolete as soon as you leave Canada, you will have to somehow keep your status valid(visitor, student, foreign worker etc.) while your application is in progress…,

You shouldn’t have left Canada while your application in process but I believe all is not lost since you got AIP, just ask your lawyers opinion on this,he/she should be able to guide you on this,if you dont have one, find a good consultant who can help you with this.

Thanks

Thank you. Since PGWP is not renewable, what other options can I explore before it expires? My permit and TRV expires in March 2025, can I apply for visitor visa while holding PGWP? Or can I apply for a study permit now?

You should be able to but they might not approve it since you are showing the intention of staying in canada permanently,in order to get approved for a visitors visa you must satisfy the visa officer that you are here temporarily,I would say file for a visitor record extension just before your TRV expires and mention in the application that you are unable to leave before your H and C application is decided, consult with a good immigration consultant before going to this route, hope it helps..,,

Got your point,I would say maybe try applying for a TRV to enter, include a cover letter and mention that your AIP is approved and why you need to come back to canada to complete processing your application, also mention that how you obeyed the law by following the deportation order,it should work but all depends on the visa officer

The government of Canada, in its spirit of open information, provides on-line details for someone in your situation.

Maybe they have the answers that you're looking for.
Yes exactly, for what I understand is still up to the agent or whoever is taking the desicion to approve or not at anytime during any stage even if im in canada or not.
I have no rcmp record, clean as a baby not even a speeding ticket, no criminality, got a job offer, express entry profile, and work permit application. And thank you bornlucky, right

Hi, I'll will highly appreciate if someone can recommend a reliable immigration lawyer in GTA who can help prepare a case to have my old age parents come to Canada from India on compassionate grounds. Or if someone can help me in self preparing a good case on compassionate grounds. Thanks

IRCC doesn't approve H and C applications from abroad, they used to but not anymore,to apply for them under H and C ground, they will first need to arrive in canada,so I will suggest bring them here on supervisa first and then go to the H and C route.
