Hi everyone, I received GCMS notes on October 5th, status says In Progress. It says Eligibility, Security not started. Only Criminality passed. File was assigned to officer in May, 2024 and no movement since then. I filed second HC in May 2023.

Is it for your parents Kate?if it is then they are probably purposely delaying it thats what I heard from an expert,they dont want failed pgp lottery applicants to go to the H and C route,therefore dumps the file in the backlog….

it took around 1 month to get the notes. Security due date May 2024, Medical Due date June 2024. What does this mean? I did not receive anything for medical so not sure what these due dates are

Frankly these due dates seems like system is generated automatically after submitted application. According your due dates means you got AOR on May 2023. They counted 12 months after sent application

Most likely assigned to HM-V office. If file get Approved then secondary office involved to complete the second stage.

No, I didn’t.
Generally HM Vancouver is the one who issued AOR then spread out to several offices across the country that is issued AIP as well as, so all of the offices are able to approve the files.

Hello everyone, I have come to share my testimony of God’s faithfulness. First for granting me favor before my CBSA officer, she’s an angel in human form and also for directing me to this platform.

Today my family and I got our AIP after several years of waiting on God for his intervention, he finally did it.
Below is my timeline:

Refugee application Nov 2018- Denied October 2019
Appealed November 2019- Denied July 2020
H&C application via lawyer September 2020-Denied October 2021-Submitted reconsideration same October and also PRRA in December 2021

Reconsideration Denied May 2022
Filed for JR and H&C self application December 2022

H&C self application Denied May 2023 along side PRRA by same officer.
JR Dismissed- July 2023

Submitted new H&C self application August 2023- AIP October 2024.

I want to personally thank everyone on this platform I cannot begin to tag names but you all have been of great help to the success of this tough Journey.

May God almighty grant all those that are still waiting a speedy approval by his grace thank you all again and again I am very grateful. Happy thanksgiving!

Hi Kate, I sent the requested documents on August 2 for stage 2.
I called them on Friday and they said;
I passed medical exams,
I passed eligibility (I thought eligibility would include everything) and
Background is in process, I'm confused now...is it background security or criminal? or both?
I think I'll call them again next week and get it straight
Any idea?

They said that "pre arrived services letter" I received last month doesn't mean anything, is sent automatically by the system. Just ignore it.
They also said that there's nothing I can do but wait, the average time to complete the process is 20 months.

Good question. Nobody knows...they said the average time for the all process is 20 months outside Quebec, we have people here who sent the requested documents in may, June, July and me in August...we are all waiting...if someone else have a clue...please tell us.

Were you able to renew work permit during this period or stayed without that? Did CBSA call you after the PRRA rejection?

Just want to understand till when I can renew my work permit.
