If you have a work permit and a job that's at least six months long, then yes.
Yes I heard if you are lucky it will take you 3 months for 2nd stage, however background checks take too long. Specially for certain countries.
Also, I was checking for work permit applications and I've seen 2 to 6 months ....anyways you got the hardest part which is AIP, congrats
Please do not tell him that. I’ve got federal in and new H&C without AIP and I got my work permit 2weeks ago. All you have to do is write a nice letter explaining you would really appreciate to be granted the work permit that way you do not go on social assistance.You won't qualify for a work permit unfortunately.
I didn't know that was possible! Can you share at a high level what you said in that letter? I have a friend who is going through the appeal and the WP was refused. But I think they may have applied before they submitted the second H&C... I'm not sure. Can I ask if you sent the WP application with the 2nd H&C or separately?
EDIT: I meant to say if you sent the WP application at the same time as the new H&C or first sent the new H&C and then later the WP. Hope that makes sense.
I send my work permit separately, my second H&C was submitted last September and I applied my work permit January and got it April. I wrote a nice letter letting them know I have 4 children that am presently primarily responsible for and I do not wish to go on assistance as I am a hard working person. I sent my least that am paying rent and Explained the type of work am looking and tell them I would be truly grateful to work and pay my taxes to support my family.
Thank you. I appreciate you sharing that and will share with my friend. My friend has no kids. Your case for this is certainly stronger than his. But he might as well try again.

your story is same as my friend story from Dubai, her husband had same issue, she write one good explanation apology letter. which luckily got accepted by immigration officer. few years ago they arrive in Canada and living somewhere in Canada. why don't you try the same thing.
write APOLOGY letter, always be truthful to these people and they appreciate your honesty.
