Actually, i also heard about people who received their AIP and PR in 4 and 5 months.... The case of @SpiritualWonderBoy is not the only one... but of course this process time still rare....
it depends on cases, officers and even IRCC centers, vancouver and toronto (the worst one ) for exemple take a lot of time niagra falls it's the best one for process time and also for decisons....
I'm Niagara and my stage 2 passed a year lol

lol, yes you are right ! but maybe the officer who work on your file is slow or maybe because you didn't apply for CSQ directly after you received AIP. because they can not give you permanent residency officially if you don't have your CSQ yet

I can't apply directly. I have to wait till they send me the application and that what happened.

Ok i'm not an expert mut i think people from Qc should send their AIP to MIDI to apply for CSQ
