I received my GCMS today and I must confess that I do not understand the stuff at all (42pages of ****). What do they mean by due date? Is GCMS reliable? I submitted my app in Oct 2011 and everything still shows NOT STARTED (Going by the GCMS).

I've noticed this as well - they are bigger than 45"x45" as I recall (the limit for Acrobat's built-in OCR).BCgirl2012 said:If you have access to Adobe Acrobat, it will only take a couple of mins for it to process it. But like I said you most probably need to resize the pages, because CIC scans them too big!
Yup, they were bigger that the limit. The only bummer about Acrobat is that it doesn't resize the pages, so I had to open it in a different program and "print" it to pdf on a normal paper size, and then back to Acrobat and 2 mins later, I had a clean perfect OCR'd versioncomputergeek said:I've noticed this as well - they are bigger than 45"x45" as I recall (the limit for Acrobat's built-in OCR).
Acrobat does a fantastic job of OCR.
Yeah, mine too. But when I get impatient I just go up and down the files. I figured with OCR at least I can search for word. Dunno, it's probably my technical side trying to fix and analyze thingsDr Eng X said:I took the easy way did not OCR them. Mine are few pages anyway
very depressing! waiting few months after all these assessments!BCgirl2012 said:Yeah, mine too. But when I get impatient I just go up and down the files. I figured with OCR at least I can search for word. Dunno, it's probably my technical side trying to fix and analyze things
On a different note, someone over in Ankara applicants mentioned they have received their GCMS notes. A few points from what they described:
-They have their eligibility, medical, and criminality passed.
-The last entries in the files are the same as the day their eCAS went "In Process".
-This was a few month ago and they are currently waiting on their security checks to be completed.
Yes, but I guess there is no control over the security checks and it depends on Nationality etc.Dr Eng X said:very depressing! waiting few months after all these assessments!
I am with you on that depressing feeling. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to now be in Canada (been here for a month) and so grateful that my nationality allows this to be so. But I can't help but dwell on the fact that my app was basically approved 12 weeks ago and all the medical stuff is holding everything up for such a long time.Dr Eng X said:very depressing! waiting few months after all these assessments!
So they didn't see what they expected. Educate them. Provide them with additional evidence there were 500 people. Is there a guest book, or even a guest list? Tell them why the ritual and reception look like they are in different spots - they ARE. Hmm. Other evidence: I assume someone paid the resort for the wedding - get a bill from the resort, since presumably it was paid for based upon the number of people. A brochure from the resort is also good, plus anything you might have from the gurudware - again, invoices or cheques or bills showing these things happened on the same day would be excellent, because they would rebut the concerns of the VO.pinder123 said:I received my notes today... He got called for an interview on the 29th of October...I will be there with him for the interview..I need help understanding some of these notes..I think i know the main reason for the interview....They are saying that they cant see 500 people in the wedding and saying that picutres are depicted in different areas...but in sikh wedding the ritual ceremony is held in the gurudware(temple) and then the reception part same day is in the resort.....
Assessments :
PL states approx 500 people attended the wedding. However photos do not depict the same. Photos do not depict the festivities taking place at the time of the wedding. As per info on file sponsors parents sibling grandparents cam for the wedding. They cohabited for 3 months after the wedding. Outgoing photos appear good. Both appear comfortable in each other company.
I think asking for interview is not consistent with their comments/notespinder123 said:I received my notes today... I am going to India on 26th. although with these negative comments an interview is not justified !!pinder123 said:They cohabited for 3 months after the wedding. Outgoing photos appear good. Both appear comfortable in each other company.

The notes are helpful - they tell you the source of the VO's questions and that means you can be prepared. Pictures are only one form of evidence - but they aren't the only form of evidence. Is it traditional to give gifts? If so, maybe you made a list of the gifts you received, as again, that would help you establish who was there (and how many people that represents.)
Good luck!
