It's on page 10 and goes to 11. Do you know what it means?

Mine is 26 pages in total. Is that bad ?

Mine is 27 pages ... So we are the same almost... I'm guessing it means the due date they have to finish up the file from what I have been reading or at least that's what I'm hoping :-s inshala ke it's good stuff :)

I got so tempted today reading that a couple people are reordering their notes :D I've decided to order mine again lol to see if there are any changes since last month and a half lol it's as if I went to Tim hortons or Starbucks lol spent $5 on nothing at least this has some info :D

Good luck Erina jan :) hopefully soon in the new year at least we will all have good news :)

I think this means "operations".

Okay, I am going to order my GCMS notes for the first time, and I am looking for a bit of help in filling out the forms.

This is the website where I went to get the forms:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp

I am a Canadian Citizen in Canada, with my spouse (whom I am sponsoring) in Bucharest. I have already completed the form required for consent from my spouse.

In filling out this form (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf), the request for information, I am looking for a bit of clarification.

I do not know what the difference between the privacy act and access to information act is, but I am assuming that I am placing a request in regards to the privacy act (as stated at the top of the webpage where I initially got the forms).

Also, in Section C, it asks what information I am requesting. Do I state I am requesting the status of the application, or the electronic files? Right now my ecas states my sponsorship application is in process, medicals received.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

"Access to information" = "I am asking about someone else's information/file/status"
"Privacy Act" = "I am asking about my own information/file/status"

So for your case you are submitting an "Access To Information" request on behalf of your spouse.

This is an interesting new change in the form within the past two weeks. With the previous form I always requested the electronic file. I'm wondering if the status information would be abbreviated. Personally, I'd request the electronic files as I find the notes at the end to be the most insightful.

Thanks computergeek :)

You are awesome!!

OH.. I wonder if i hv made a silly choice selecting "Status of application" instead of electronic file............-.- cos i filed my request on 3 Jan.. using also the new form........>.< does it mean it 's useless?? should i order the "electronic files" again?

On the old form I checked off both electronic files and application status.. the new forms only let me check one so I picked electronic files this time. Im not sure what will be included this time or if it will be different. Im very curious to find out. Maybe you can request the electronic file and receive it a little after you receive your application status. Or maybe you can email them and request they send the electronic files instead.

I ordered my notes at the beginning of January 2013 using the new form and chose 'electronic files' because according to the instructions (which of course aren't always clear!) if you choose 'application status' you will only receive a few lines of information. I hope I did it correctly...

Medicals are never extended, 1 year validity, period.

Sorry, but that hasn't been true since last June.
