Does ordering GCMS cause a slight delay in the processing of your application? How I understand it is that it doesn't because the file is off at the visa office and the notes come from Ottawa and from an online data base system. Am I correct in my thinking? Or is there some kind of contact with the visa office which causes your file to be pulled out of order to get the info for the notes at the visa office?

If you request a copy of the physical file, it requires the visa office actually pull your file to scan it and return it to the ATIP office in Ottawa. That will delay your application.

If you request electronic notes, the ATIP office in Canada pulls them from the relevant computer system. A notation is made on the file, but the VO is not involved in that process.

I have one inquiry regarding my notes. Under Criminality it states "not started" and due date was 31st of August. Should I be worried?
(I did not receive any info to submit any documents for this category from the Visa office)

does anybody know what C1906 means? i see in my GCMS notes:

is C1906 a person? or a system? it looks like all other 'human' code names look like 2 letters + 5 digits...

I think the C1906 is the VO and the one starting with KF is the officer?

well... i guess that KF is the officer...my visa office is CPP-O...
i thought that visa office has 2 letters then 4 digits:
RC-9570 (Mississauga)
RC-9515 (Ottawa?)
RC-6023 (medical office in London?)
RC-6075 (Moscow?)

Yes, that how I'd seen so far as well. So not sure what's the "C" in C1906. Maybe it means after CPC-O your file will be transfered to a consulate for the final visa/COPR to be issued? Let's say LA or Seattle for example? So I'm guessing RC = Regional Center, and C= Consulate?

RC-6048 = Buffalo
RC-9570 = Mississauga
RC-9515 = Ottawa

Not sure about the medical office in London- ours is also RMO=London, but was assigned to RC-9570, so no RC code for London RMO in our notes to decipher. No other RC in our notes but CPC-M.

Our assignment section is also empty- we don't have any entries there yet. Anyone else with an empty "Assignment" section?

i doubt about it... my LVO is Moscow and i think i see a code for it - RC-6075...

and i think that CPP-O sends passport requests (for the passport to be send to LVO)...

Well, that's really interesting to see actually. So far, for applicants who were transferred to CPC-O after buffalo's closure, the Canadian Consulates in the States have been sending the request. But this is a relatively new development and maybe they will change it.
I'm also aware that CPC-O is assisting Cairo, as is the case with Dr Eng X's file, for example. I had no idea that CPC-O is also handling cases from Moscow!

my case is parent sponsorship - not spouse... CPP-O handles some parents sponsorship cases for different countries (pilot project after parent sponsorship changes in Nov 2011)... for parents CPP-O sends passport request - however the request is to send passport to a visa office, not to CPP-O...

OK, that explains the long timeline on your profile. I agree that RC-6075 should be Moscow then, but no idea what is C1906 in this case. Maybe some other members can pitch in? I guess we can start by comparing codes in that particular field. Like I mentioned, ours is blank in that section.

as if there is not enough work for CPP-Ottawa! The f***ing honorable f**** up face Kenny! CPP Ottawa seems to handle everything now! Did he even think before shutting VO's or it is just slashing the budget...Soooo pissed off
Whatif we did not sign a f***ing sponsorship agreement. What else do you want us to do?

Seems like CPC-O is handling all Buffalo files, a portion of files from CPC-M, a portion of files from Cairo, and now it seems a portion of parents and grand parents. I wonder how big the center is. My understanding is that Buffalo was pretty big, so I wonder if they transferred the staff to Ottawa?

I don't think so! They should actually have quadribled the staff as a replacement but the huge delays show they have not at least transferred or replaced the staff!!!
