They should but likely they read the same information as you and I. I totally agree with you though, there is a need for them to be much more knowledgeable and definitive in their answers !deepak09 said:@ jsm0085,
Thanks a lot for the update.
I am very suprised with CIC giving different replies to different people.
Aren't those people who should guide us with correct process?
Thanks,
Deepak
I had applied online to change condition/extend work permit prior to the Bridging Open Work Permit was announced, back in late October (and paid $150). I later cancelled my application (due to lack of LMO) as advised by a CIC consultant (but chose to keep my fee for future applications). After the BOWP was announced, I log on to MyCIC account to retrieve a copy of my receipt and printed it to send in together with my new application.ioanag said:Based on the information I got from a cic agent over the phone a week ago, the spouse will also be eligible (if included in the application, plus $150 fee) for a bridging open work permit as long as he/she has a valid work permit when application is submitted and the application is received within 4 months from the expiry date of wp. I included my husband since we both got same timelines on our work permits.
I filled the application but i cant mail it yet as I am experiencing troubles with my payment, I never received an email with an official receipt from cic but credit card was charged. Phoned cic and they said to allow 5 days then call again. So much stress over these papers... My pgwp expires in 2 weeks :'(
Congratulations!ioanag said:I withdrew my application for the bridging open work permit as my pgwp just got extended until September 07, 2013. Just got the new wp in mail after 82 days since the date I applied. Those who applied for bridging open work permit keep posted with processing times, I will reapply in May if I dont receive medicals request from CEC till then. Good luck!
After your current WP expires, you will automatically become implied status (based on the fact you already applied for the Bridging open work permit. That means you can carry on working with your employer under existing conditions.samleb said:i was applying to extend my WP through LMO but i cancelled the plan since i have heared of this OB, so Monday FEB 4th my lawyer will send my application for this OB. CIC told me processing time is 3 months, so i hope i ll get the new open work permit before mine expires.
It's not excluded, therefore... Presumably, you'd have to be on your 2nd?marcowatty said:Does anyone know the answering reading Working Holiday Visa participants applying for the Bridging work permit; is it possible?
