Germany PCC Timeline

Hey, eventually I asked a friend to call in and request another issue sent to them. Still have my name but their address attached on it. Took us 3 days to receive. I requested an English version but there are words in German with English word that says ‘No record’. Do we have to get a certified translator for it still?

Can someone please share how did you guys pay for your fee for german pcc.. i am in canada right now and can't figure out how to pay the 13 eur fee

Hello i was also in this situation if you have any friend over there they can pay for you. Make sure you should have screenshot of this payment as a proof when you will apply for pcc print this screenshot and attach with your papers. Good luck

thanks for responding.. what mailing service did you use to sent the mail?
And what did you put in the reference while making the payment?

Hello, I'm from Colombia and I sent the PCC application form (In German and notarized at a German consulate), proof of payment (from a german bank), passport, and the IRCC letter (in english) requesting the German PCC via FedEx. The envelope was delivered to the justice office in Bonn on February 13th.

I requested that the certificate be sent to a friend in Germany. Does anyone know:

1. How long does this process take?
2. Should I expect an email from the justice office?
3. Is there any way for me to track it?

I called this Bonn office and got a copy mailed to a relative in Germany (it took only 1 week). Had to pay 13 Euros again, but this is the easiest way. If you can get someone who knows German to talk to these people and explain situation to get a copy delivered, they maybe more helpful I feel. All the best!

I am in same situation and it’s been 5 weeks I have not received german PCC. I have to submit my PR application in next 2 weeks ..so did letter of explanation with all the proofs work for you ? Does IRCC asks you for the document immediately after AOR?

Never knew the reason, maybe the files cannot be sent through express delivery, only snail mail, maybe some interchanging bank screwed up my bank transfer for the fee, maybe they ignored my application because I included a letter of expaination in english. So after 2 months of waiting, I found this laywer/agent guy in Germany, and I sent a new application to him via DHL. He helped with the bank transfer and mailed in my application. The PCC was mailed to him after 11 calender days, and he emailed me a scanned copy.

Did you account for bank transfer fees when wiring the 13 euro transfer fee, or let a friend with a german bank account help out? Did you get a signature from the embassy/notary public on your application? Did you include a letter requesting the certificate be sent to a german address(such as a friend's address so they could scan you the file)? It's honestly quite frustrating because you can never know what went wrong with your application.

I was told it usually takes 2~3 weeks for the police certificate to be issued, so maybe you were just unlucky with processing times and mail? But I guess you should at least make your best attempt, so that in the case where you can't get your police certificate on time, you can include good evidence that you tried to IRCC.

Hi All,

what should we fill under file number IV2-____ and what are the documents that we have to send in the mail for getting the PCC from Germany

My wife and I did not have to send anything via mail, we just applied online and used the online identification and paid via credit card. PCC arrived literally 5 days later.

May i know when were u there in Germany ?
i was there during 2016 and i do not have the pin as well. during that time i got only Physical card.
