I officially gave up today on my husband's PR visa. I'm Canadian he is Mexican, here is why:
1. He was asked to voluntarily leave the USA, year found out today 2007, not a deportation but voluntary request to leave.
2. He has 2 children in USA, both minors. He has not seen them since leaving the USA. His exwife does not communicate with him in any way, be tough if not impossible to get the kids to get the medicals, or even get exwife to respond with a 'no'.
3. Found out through research today that he was convicted of 2 DUIs in the USA, one in March 2003 and other December 29, 2006. Second one was where he was found out to be an illegal.
It's just too much. I have pealed the onion skin off layer by layer and every day there is something new that is found out to be a problem.
I have a clean record and am a good sponsor prospect, so the problem would not be me, it's all the above that would be combined just too much to over come.
I feel heart broken that I find out these things now and I have just been through a lot here living in Mexico, that didn't work out, now through his life being under a magnifying glass I found out the truth. I have a broken life and a broken heart. I go back to Canada now, get through the corruption of Mexican brokers and customs, get my other affairs in order here, book my ticket and back to home to Canada to restart my life, knowing visa is a lost cause and I can't stay in Mexico as I have no job prospects here and no future.
Thank you everyone that responded to my postings and for your good advice. God Bless.
