hi guys, holiday ba Canada Embassy Manila next week dahil sa APEC summit? ;D

CEM is working on APEC week. I just had a call from them verifying if I already sent our passports for visa stamping. They are in a hurry because the Prime Minister is here. They confirmed that they will not close office this week. So expect DECISION MADE next week guys.

Hi po sa lahat..I received PPR email this morning.
I just want to ask po kung paano send ang passports sa CEM if wala kayo sa Pilipinas ngayon.
In our case po kasi we are in UAE pero CEM ang visa office namin.

1. Visa Application Centres (VACs) For more information, visit http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Philippines/index.html
2. In Canada (CPC-O) – if applicable

Salamat po.

hi po. was on similar situation and same option given, and payment option is either bank draft in peso or cash as per VFS site. base po sa nkachat ko na officer sa vfs site, pwede namn po daw representative mgsubmit ng passport sa VFS (either Cebu or Manila) then cash payment nlng, no authorization needed. so what i did, pinacourier ko passport ko along with pics and required doc to my representative tas nkisuyo nlng to submit it sa VAC Cebu and pay the fee on my behalf. i think pwede din po ipacourier ung passport/doc/pic direct to VAC kaso issue is sa pagbayad. read others have requested CEM if possible na isubmit ung passport sa VFS near them, which is an alternative. hope this helps po. congrats sa PPR!

If sending pps sa Pinas thru courier is risky for you, email CEM and ask if you can have your visa stamped in the nearest Embassy of Canada. Then prepare to have your pps scanned 'coz sometimes the visa officer would ask for them and the updated form.

We were worried and so we wrote CEM that we submitted our pps thru VFS Singapore. After a few days, we received email from CEM asking for photocopies of pps and the updated form.

Hope that helps. :)

I just finished my Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) pre-departure orientation today. Highly recommended ko po ito sa mga first time immigrants like us. Mr. Serge Bisson pour us with lots of information about Canada and give us tips on how to survive to our new home. Good thing about this is it is free (including snacks and lunch) and funded by CIC.

Hindi rin nakakaantok ang orientation coz sir Serge is very lively and funny.

VISA ON HAND na din po kami!!!
We thank God for all the wonderful things He has done for us.

I may have one of the longest timeline sa FSWP Pinoy 2014 applicants, but it's all worth it.

WWW Express (affiliated with DHL) ang ginamit ni Manila VO to deliver our passports with visa + CoPR.
That's how courier collect works.

Nagkwento si Manong delivery guy na noong Saturday pa available for delivery ang docs namin pero naisip nya na since sa office naka-address,
most likely walang pasok pag weekend, which is true kasi Mon-Fri lang ang workdays namin sa office.

I have been tracking our progress for the past couple of months and it has helped me predict when would be the next update.

Halos 2 months from the delivery date pagbalik niya d2 sa sg?

congrats on your new baby coming. Please get ready on the process for getting new baby's passport and other docs since you only have normally 30 days to complete since birth. but just wanted to let you know that you can have the new passport within 2 weeks after birth, medyo super busy ka nga lang. it's the certified copy of live birth that you need to present to dfa where you can get the certified copy the soonest then apply for the new passport in manila rush process then you can get it in 15 days. only in manila though that you can have the rush processing of passport. good luck!

I just wanna say, truly God is good.
VOH just now for me and my wife. :)

Thank you fellow forum members. Learned a lot here. DIY application.
And for the prayers. Sa mga waiting pa. We'll continue to pray for you
