Hi minime123, the visa validity can be either 1 year from the date of your medical or the expiry date of your passport whichever is earlier,

congrats on your new baby coming. Please get ready on the process for getting new baby's passport and other docs since you only have normally 30 days to complete since birth. but just wanted to let you know that you can have the new passport within 2 weeks after birth, medyo super busy ka nga lang. it's the certified copy of live birth that you need to present to dfa where you can get the certified copy the soonest then apply for the new passport in manila rush process then you can get it in 15 days. only in manila though that you can have the rush processing of passport. good luck!

Hi there, thanks sa tip! Yan nga advise saken, get the certified true copy of the birth cert and head to nso to authenticate it. tas [wede na mg apply sa dfa.

Ayon din po sa past experiences ng mga napag-tanungan ko, ok lang din daw khit madelay pa xray ni wifey since adding our baby in the application will take some time too.

hi guys. its been a while since i last posted here sa forum. Congrats sa lahat ng may updates and graduates!

anyways i have a question lang for seniors or whoever knows the answer to my query.. i just landed here last november 22, 2015. the thing is, from my application to my COPR, i have been using my maiden name. what if i would like to use my married name already? problem kasi hindi na namin nainform ung immigration officer pgland namin s toronto airport regarding this issue.. ano kaya best way gawin para bago dumating ung PR card, mapalitan ko n yung name ko, using my husband's surname na? mali ko dn kasi, when me and my husband got married, hindi ako nkpgpaamend ng passport ko kya hanggang nghon maiden name pdin gmit ko. opinions and advices are greatly appreciated. thank you in advance.

im still using my maiden name, same thing I did not change my passport and other documents before I applied and landed here. Better call cic regarding your concern, you have to change your passport since that's your ID and everything has to match with that.
