Hi! Would like to know if someone here has taken or is taking french class. If yes, would like to ask the following:

1. For Fsw purposes, is the requirement same/different from QSW in terms of number of units/hrs to complete and type of exam to take?
2. Will the TEF exam suffice or we need the DELF result to claim the additional 4 points for language (granting one passes the exam :D ..)

Please enlighten.

Thanks.

Modified Hindi ko pala nasagot yung tanong mo ng maayos kanina hehe :)

Here it is...

French

TEF: Test d'évaluation de français

You must submit results from the following TEF tests as proof of your French language proficiency:

compréhension de l'écrit
compréhension de l'orale
expression écrite
expression orale.
First official language (Maximum 24 points)

NCLC Level Ability: Speaking (expression orale) Ability: Listening (compréhension de l'orale) Ability: Reading (compréhension de l'écrit) Ability: Writing (expression écrite) Points (per ability)
7 310 – 348 249 – 279 207 – 232 310 – 348 4
8 349 – 370 280 – 297 233 – 247 349 – 370 5
9 and above 371+ 298+ 248+ 371+ 6
Second official language (4 points if you meet the minimum threshold in each of the four language abilities)

NCLC Level Ability: Speaking (expression orale) Ability: Listening (compréhension de l'orale) Ability: Reading (compréhension de l'écrit) Ability: Writing (expression écrite) Points (per ability)
5 and above 226 – 371+ 181 – 298+ 151 – 248+ 226 – 371+ 4

So TEF is ok :)

Kung for fswp points lang...

Taasan mo nlng ang IELTS mo ( parang mas achievable pa kesa biglaan na pag learn ng French) or di kaya pa take nlng si spouse ng IELTS (+5 points din)

I agree with Inhinyero, no May 7 PERs issued yet, no need to panic pa :-) give it a week or two (baka nga more pa since marami kayong May 7)

basa basa lang sa main thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2014-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t199004.0.html atsaka sa global excel spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11gAbKSoDoOr1s8_raB1qwz0i-ZH0NyNWhhn18O6kHwQ

question lang po doon sa IMM0008 schedule 3 na form under Your Work Experience 12b --- if I'm still employed under my current company, ano po ilalagay ko soon sa To (YYYY-MM), the current month and year or lalagay ko po 'PRESENT'? TIA.

good day to all. :) m newbie po here. ask po sana ng tulong regarding letter of reference. if di po ba mksecure nun from past employer, or sa supervisor, last option is to ask from colleague right? dapat po ba nagwowork parin siya sa company n un or pwdeng katrabano dati n hindi n dun nagwork pero willing to testify ng JD. ang prob kasi wala naring kakilala ang husband q, who is the principal applicant, sa dating pinagtatrabahuan nyang company. hope anyone can help to clarify this matter. tnx po in advance.

QUESTION LANG..

Need ba talaga translated to English ang TOR and Diploma? And is it possible to get it from the school or I need to bring my original TOR and diploma to a certified translator?

Hope someone could help me out here..

THANK YOU!

A-Cheng or bosschips, can you weigh in on this? I'm not really sure kasi if puwede ang colleague Lang, what I know kasi is at least superior mo e. Is your husband going to use this as his NOC work experience ba?

If it is not in English, you need to have it translated, naka Tagalog ba?

I Think like in Ateneo, you can request for the English diploma instead of the Latin one. So baka sa school mo puwede rin yun.

Thanks po! For IMM0008 12b, yup I can type 'PRESENT' in the box.

But how about for IMM5669E under Personal History, it won't allow me to type 'PRESENT'. So lagay ko po 2014 | 07 ?
