And guys, please do not picture first-world countries as heaven. There are people living such a life in our countries which Canadians, Americans, ... can not even see it in their dreams. There was a cheap charlie a few years ago travelled here and he was almost having a heart attack seeing certain parts of my hometown. And he was expecting to be treated like a king because of his passport here but unfortunately, nobody gave a shit about him being a so-called "first world citizen" in my country. After all, money plays a way greater role in your life quality than your country of residence/citizenship if you ask me.

And do not put so much effort into analyzing the behavior of Canadian politicians and its effects on immigration, A few tens of thousands of outland applicants from here and there would not be even the last priority of a politician. Canada can and will definitely will survive even without pure outlanders like us. Trust me :)
Well yeah, you can live like a king anywhere if you have money or live like shit anywhere if you are poor. The US is full of people in trailer parks or tiny condos making ends meet. It's all about oportunity really. Those trying to go to canada are educated and experienced so technically we should be at least ok, but in other countries that's not possible. In Brazil the unemployment is 14% and engineering became a saturated role. And like Canada, there is hardly any design here so engineers are just managers, where they want people with a lot of experience ond only hire one per plant. So we are either unemployed or underemployed as technicians.

Its not about how you picture it, it's about IRCC and their callous unprofessional attitude, it takes time, effort and money to apply for immigration. They can fucking reject all applications for all I care but they had a system in place and this system broke down and they aren't even trying to fix it. People need answers, it's a fair demand. Clairty is what's lacking, if they intend to take 5 years time to finalise applications they need to say so. If they need to reject all applications they need to refund people their application fee and dare I say compensate them for thier time and effort or at least tender a public apology. You can't tell peope to pay the fee and fullfil all the requirements and just ghost them afterwards. That's unethical, unprofessional, callous and disdainful. If i was a lawyer or had the resources I would fucking sue these assholes. Mofos!

Well, either way, nothing will change this year. They will continue with how they are, clearing inland that is faster and some pnp/expired. If you are pre-ita, its best to do what you can to get a pnp if you can, though even that is bound to not start processing r10 until next year. Nov 22nd we'll have the mandate letter and their priorities, anything before that will be speculation. Specially if it comes from shitty politicians.
Yep this should really be the last event that seals the deal for us. It’s really meaningless for us to be strung on hoping for things to happen with the next one.

You know life is always full of surprises. When I first heard about express entry, I was like oh wow this is the best immigration option, let me gather all my documents as soon as possible! And now I feel like this is absolute trash...Not even saying a single word on what the fuck is going on...Seriously???

Critically, are they are still hiding behind "OvErSeAs CoViD SiTuAtIoN".
They are going to use the COVID excuse for as long as COVID exists. That’s why the IRCC snowflakes won’t step out of their homes till it is eradicated completely. Good thing is, as someone posted here, they have been fully equipped and trained to carry out business from home. That is to give a bit of hope I guess.

Do what you said bro; you send your documents in and forget it even existed. Express Entry has been shit since 2019 and I doubt it'll go back to what it was before 2019 anytime soon. I'm not expecting to see any improvements in case processing before the second half of 2022 (quite sure FSW will return in Jan though). I personally still have ties to Canada for another 1.5-2 years; if I'm not fully settled on a PR within that period of time, I'm ditching that pseudo first world country and going to Europe.

That's never lol. Well... we truly needed a right-wing government to kick IRCC's ass back into work but sadly it didn't happen.

Yeah exactly buddy. I just feel sad for all these guys who keep stressing themselves for draws and all those things throughout this year....I am also considering Europe. And if 1% Australia opens any opportunity in 2022.

Only took them 2 years to figure out home office exists. 2 more years and they'll learn how to turn or a computer.

Guys, lets analyze the situation a bit, shall we?

I think the IRCC are processing 40k applications a month and from this week they are working at full capacity.

Right now they are working on CEC applications from March 7 and 13, 2021.

From that period up to now there are:
  • 73,279 CEC and PNP ITAs
  • 20,000 Health workers stream
  • 30,000 Essential non-health care workers stream
  • 40,000 International graduates stream
  • I don't know how many FSW applications are backlogged, but lets put a number on them and say 55,000
  • Other than these, I don't know.
So, they give us a total of 218,279 applications. At a speed of 40k a month, all of them would be processed by April 2022.

I am just following simple math here.

If we were to say that ALL PROGRAM draws resumes in January, and you receive an ITA, your application will be processed by June 2022. Not 1.5 or 2 years. You will land in Canada by July 2022.

Plus, please let us give a chance to the new minister and see what happens. For us, he only needs to maintain this processing speed and start the FSW draws.

I agree. Better to focus on the grind, make money and you can buy one of those ever coveted citizenships if needed through the many programs in all these first world countries. That way you have respect and the perks of the passport.

I work at a global corp (you've heard of the name) with thousands of employees only in one of the global offices. The company had had ZERO experience with remote work before; used to be even against it. Do you know how much time it took our office to turn thousands of employees fully remote from scratch? 4 days. We've been working remotely without any issues ever since.

I won't stop saying it; Canada is just slow (and quite lazy).

Golden words!

For a lot of us Canada is a cheap imitation of USA without guns and drama.

Errr... there are numbers already known.

In around 2019 they were doing 27 K apps a month.
In August they did 29K apps a month.

There are about half a million PR applications remaining to be processed.

Would you please elaborate how did you arrive at the half a million PR applications?

https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2021/10/27/new-immigration-minister-inherits-backlogs-migrant-worker-issues.html

"As of July 31, more than 748,000 people had a pending temporary residence application as students, workers, or visitors, close to 562,000 were waiting for permanent residence, and the backlog for citizenship was around 376,000, the Toronto Star reported."

Ther article is from yesterday.
