Shouldn't affect much. Also, potential Election in September. Not sure what kind of effect it is gonna have on backlogs and other immigration activities.

It never stopped for U.S applicants anyway.Just curious. Is it possible to see raining PPRs for US FSW outland candidates after Aug 9th?
Lol, you have time o.IRCC (and their employees) don’t handle election related work. In fact they are supposed to ensure non-partisanship in the provision of their programs and services.
It makes zero sense for IRCC to be involved in elections in any way.
I don't even have words anymore. They had one year and six months to figure the whole WFH ish out. This is the kind of thing we see in Nigeria lol.Insane that this continued to be an issue, given that IRCC contracted a company called Iron Mountain to help pick up and digitize a lot of their applications to enable their officers to continue to work safely from home while processing files. Because in some cases, some officers had to print physical papers out to allow them progress their processing in instances where stay at home orders were in force in their respective provinces.
Ultimately, it is crazy how glacial IRCC's progress was in equipping their employees to work from home effectively.
I wonder ooo! They are bent on making those targets any which way.If the backlog is so large, why do they keep inviting so many people?
They are still inviting over 5k applicants per draw. Why not pause invitations and focus on clearing the backlogs?Well, they have stopped FSW's. Did you see they are processing CEC applications quicker than normal?
500,000 next year target in the makingI wonder ooo! They are bent on making those targets any which way.
They will make it by inviting CECs with CRS 250500,000 next year target in the making
It wouldn’t matter because they weren’t finalizing FSW. Not because they kept inviting more, but for their own reasons (travel restrictions and such) having draws wouldn’t affect them dealing with the backlog if that’s what they want, since they can just stall processing the new applications while dealing with backlog. They aren’t dealing with the backlog because they don’t want to, not because they can’t.They are still inviting over 5k applicants per draw. Why not pause invitations and focus on clearing the backlogs?
Are you kidding me? Canada has an obligation to honor its promise to the world by offering the supposed to be greatest immigration system in the world. Not because you are already in Canada doesn't mean you can say those things! People are betting their lives here just to migrate to Canada. You have nothing to say because there is nothing to argue against. You have the right to have your application processed, that's about it. There is no mandatory time by which they have to process anything, so stop legislating things which are nonexistent. You wait until they're done, that's it.
Just tone down your entitled way of thinking, you're criticising how things are done here and you've not contributed anything to this country yet.
Oga i’ve been fuming today just seeing Mendicino’s faceLol, you have time o.
It won't be in September. The election hasn't been called yet so there's not enough time left now to hold it in September. Also, potential Election in September. Not sure what kind of effect it is gonna have on backlogs and other immigration activities.
Lmaooo. Wonder how that man sleeps at night with all these bashing front, left and centreOga i’ve been fuming today just seeing Mendicino’s face
Rumour has it that it might be called as early as Saturday. It won't be in September. The election hasn't been called yet so there's not enough time left now to hold it in September.
EDIT: Ignore me. It could still be held in Sept but the Liberals would have to call it pretty soon.
Don't kid yourself. The CRS won't be that highThey will make it by inviting CECs with CRS 250
