Welll.... I guess some folks can get their degrees certified much easily. I believe an American or British Dr can find a path to practice much easily. But don't quote on that. Or may be its first law in application again.

Most of the healthcare immigrants will come from developing countries, what are they supposed to do if Canada doesn't make licensing process easier? They will simply leave.

I believe at some point of time, Study Permit -> PR route will become too competitive to be of much use. Atleast how it is used these days. Not just that, if they move 100% on NOC based rounds, that path is already dead. And it looks like they are doing just that. Only salvation will then be french skills. Every post on Twitter that I see of these crybabies I counter. These cunts need to leave. There are probably a million of them already. Need to open space for new students who might be worthwhile for the country.

There are quite a lot of people who did their bachelor in Canada and are currently working in Canada with at-least 2 yoe (no prior experience in their home country).

The bump in points given for 1 yoe abroad is much higher than an extra year in Canada (assuming you already have 2 yoe in Canada), its an extra 30 points, higher than doing masters. its so funny their scoring system don't reflect the fact that 3 yoe in Canada is way harder to attain than 2 yoe in canada (and a year abroad).

Those people will have amassed at least 510+ (540 with clb9) by the time they attain a year of work abroad and pretty much would get invited at the next EE draw assuming scores are in the lower 500 region. Kicking those people off, to only invite them back after 1 year of experience abroad seems like a dumb policy.

I don't know if they are aware of this issue. Otherwise, for the next 3 years, their EE would only invite young returning ex-PGWP (with at least 2 yoe in Canada) other than french-speaking

There are fraud students and there are legally fraud students. The likes who want to do 3 months horse care course from some epsilon university in brampton where they are keeping a dog for practical on horse care. That kind. Those are a lot AFAIK. Legal fraud degrees with no use other than to become a PR.

My elder kid starts college in 2025 and the next one in 2027 after reading the stuff about students and Canadian colleges and unis I doubt I want any of my kids to start college here.

I don't want to say yes or no, but I am sure Canada will have to pivot to African countries or failing countries like Egypt or Pakistan significantly because cat's out of the bag in India.

They will make likely make PR easier. Canada does not get expats because expats have a plethora of choices. Only PR hopefuls come here.

I often hear Indians come to Canada in hordes because of USA having quota limits by country. If that is the case won't the skilled immigrants with professional quals from other countries prefer USA instead? Somehow I feel only the Lambdas in those will countries will end of coming to Canada.

There are still some 'elite programs' in Canada. The Comp Sci/SWE programs at Waterloo are a tried a trusted pipeline for FAANG in Silicon Valley. And the Ivey HBA or Queens Commerce similarly for Investment banks in New York
