The primary issue they flagged is fraudulent students - which is what 5-10% of all students max, maybe? They are still solving imaginary problems. Everyone is now out there fake chest humping on winning an imaginary war.
The primary issue (as per Canadians) was the volume of these students which made housing unaffordable and reduces number of jobs. Did he do anything about it? Nope!
You didn't hear him talk about why he thinks int'l students are extremely necessary?
He said "they are cheap labour", "companies want us to have them work 40hrs/week". Do you think someone who views students with that lens ever gives a shit about Canada or the quality of students itself? There's no talk about supporting talented students to come and study in Canada at all.
