Of course, racists will always be racists. I agree with your point about generalisations and stereotypes but they don’t come out of a vacuum. There is some truth in that. I’m speaking from personal experience because I’ve lived in the gulf for very long period of time. We, as a people (Indians), do not respect ourselves. It’s why a lot of countries view us as cheap labour and slaves. It’s an unfortunate reality. Of course, not all of us are like that but a sizeable number of us are beggars. We will do anything to move to a western country or just get the hell out of India. There’s no point in the chest thumping displayed by our politicians when we haven’t solved the root cause of why a lot of people feel this way. Also, it’s okay to call out the bad actions of your community or anyone else in public. Imagine kids, who are supposedly the future of this world, hounding government officials on the internet on a regular basis and begging them. You think awful behaviour like this should be encouraged? Imagine a prospective employer seeing this.If you really want to live the western life, feel free to have/not have your identity(nationality, religion, etc) - but stop worrying about the image. Think about the maturity of someone who is going to generalize a very large population based on limited experiences. I don't think most of these people go way too far in lives, and they are unlikely to be someone who will ever impact our lives.
