Nothing racist with wanting a more balanced immigration system.

When the large majority of immigrants are coming from one single country it's no longer immigration but invasion.

We are seeing right now the impact of having massive numbers coming from one place when immigrants start bringing internal disputes from their country of origin to Canada.

I'm all for multiculturalism, diversity, etc, but that ceases to exist when one single country is the source of the majority of immigrants by such large margins.

Regarding India and China being the most populated countries, just because there are more of them, does Canada also have to have more of them?

Do our demographics have to reflect global demographics?

Okay, first things first. You became a PR in 2020 from what I can tell. Are you already a citizen? I am somewhat doubtful. So "our demographics" is a bit premature. Its Canadian demographics.

Now "balanced immigration". What does it mean? Balanced according to what you define as balanced? Canada has a policy of raising population to 100M and I do not see it happening without significant help from India and China. Its a simple question of practicality. You can disagree with their 100M goal but then for that you need to be a citizen.

Secondly, "Invasion"... Are you REAL? Canada got much higher rate (%age of population) of immigration in the past. Except all of them were from Europe. Will you call it a European invasion of Canada? Or is it the nationality or something similar that is troubling you.

Further, Canada has this nice "Charter of Freedom" and "CAnadian values":

"15. (1) Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability."

Before you ask, yes, this has been applied to immigrants as well. Canadian courts have turned decisions of IRCC which violated these. Its called "Canadian Values" and yeah not discriminating based on national or ethnic origin is a part of it.

So forget it if you want Canada to limit immigration based on national or ethnic origin. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

If you so desperately wanted that, there is USA just south. They seems to do it your way.

As an Indian, I fully agree with your statement. Recent events are a perfect example as to how the Canadian government has fucked up the multicultural experiment. Immigrants are not expected to bring their trash from their home countries. Canada doesn’t expect assimilation but integration. Integration cannot happen when you bring in too many people within a short period of time. I think it’s time for everyone in Canada to wake up to the fact that mass immigration without integration is a disaster.

Because "OUR" does not become a pronoun till one is a Canadian with respect to Canada. If you are a citizen then fine! When you vote, take that in consideration. Just see how many Canadian parties agree with your stance!

I mean, I have written about it in past and I've been a victim of rental discrimination all my life. But before we get into these hyperboles, worth noting that not all Indians are doing what you are saying. Just like anyone else, most Indians are good folks, I don't know why you are trying to invent problems when there are no problems. There are equally similar number of racists in Canada doing the same to others as well.

Humans are shitty, not nationalities. Because nationalities don't mean shit. You can't benchmark me with some other rando that was born in a 500km proximity through randomness and say "you both are same". There are (literal) dead skeletons in closets here and you are worrying about Indians doing something that almost everyone does (who gets caught is a different thing).

I was expecting CRS to be even lower. Because just like trades, trucking will have folks with no masters, no CLB9 too. Maybe transportation is a bit more competitive too.

I know that, and I'm sure you must be a very nice person too. My problem is not with Indians, Chinese or any other nationality, I just want a more balanced immigration system.

Among many things, I came to Canada for its multiculturalism and diversity. I don't want that to go away by importing millions of people from the same place.

No integration - let it be. People should be free to chose who they want to integrate with. It isn't that Canadians are lining up to welcome us. Different languages, cultures, social skills, etc will take their time. I'd not blame anyone for not mixing. I know people who have been mocked for their accents and don't pretend it isn't a thing here. Integration is a two way street.
