Economically USA will always have an advantage over Canada. There are not many people if they have US GC would come to Canada. I'm not saying there would be none but a major chunk of people would gladly choose US if they could get GC over Canada.
I'm in the minority there. I have absolutely no desire to live in the US. I actually feel sorry for those who do.

I respectfully disagree, DMV's are not what they used to be. I have been a DMV in Massachusetts and a DMV in Florida, they are much more efficient and streamlined. Yes you need to wait at least an hour or maybe less but this is huge improvement.
Tell me the same after going to Houston TX.Some DPS you go you are going to be there for ever.
Even the best case scenario of MA and FL is still 4 times higher than calgary registry. Look at the number of registry offices here it is a lot of them.
Forget about waiting, I am talking about the way they behave. But this is the thing the place I lived was a bad neighborhood, because my previous company was near it,that might have played a role.
But one thing that bothered me here in canada is use of hard drugs not pot, police don't care even though it is illegal.
But I feel safe when compared to Houston, even after living there for 5 yrs ,I am afraid to walk in Cullen Blvd, mlk Blvd, greens point....but not any where here.

I love how this thread always switches from 'fk canada, us is awesome' to 'usa sucks, canada ain't bad' every now and then. Let me tell you something mates, statistically speaking, we in Canada are fked in an economic perspective and the outlook is worse in the next 10 years (big part in due to Liberal Trudeau policies). If you care about the the other stuff then yes, Canada is better

https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/young-immigrants-may-leave-canada-due-to-high-cost-of-living-survey-1.5835140
https://betterdwelling.com/canadians-permanently-leaving-was-unusually-high-for-the-first-quarter/

and yeah i don't mean to demotivate anyone, just the harsh reality
This is the thing both has pros and cons ,no question in that it is all about priorities.

If a person is having high demand skills I don't think canada/US matters atleast about getting a job.pay obviously is higher in USA.(but again health care is a blessing atleast for me the medical I take is 2$ vs 90$ in US .
Housing prices-everyone wants to live in Toronto/Vancouver and obviously there is less supply more demand and crappy zone laws If you go to places other than that it is affordable. Even when I checked Montreal, ottawa it is not bad.Other than Dxdroid I have never heard about someone going to NB,I have not heard about anyone in NFL .I think that is their whole strategy make people spread out.

Obviously Toronto is garbage, I have been there I don't know why people is so much into it.
Look at wonderbly, I think she is in Manitoba I don't think she has any issues.

Obviously economically comparing US and Canada is like comparing apples and oranges canada only has 10% population of US so is the GDP.Obviously more opportunities in US.

This is one thing I don't support in people ,Noone is entitled for anything, if you want to have a good life you have to make sacrifices ,you might have to change careers. You might have to do odd jobs ,that is all the part of the game and I am 100% sure every one in the forum knows it.
I have seen a girl from my country yesterday, according to her white people are racist that is why she is not getting any jobs,I asked her where did she study one diploma college in calgary, with this attitude even I wouldn't give her a job.I think she is a nice person but when hiring for a job people look at skills and attitude. You cab train people for a job but you can't get a person with horrible attitude do a job even if he is extremely skilled.
USA is a great nation no doubt in that ,but now we have taken a decision to move to canada, I read somewhere
When life gives you lemon make lemonade.

Hi, I'm new here. I would like to know my chances.

How likely is it to get ITA for FSW-outland with a CRS score of 470 in the current situation? Any comments and remarks are welcome.

People, sorry for asking again and again.
Any idea about London Heathrow Airport. I mean the flight is from Ahmedabad to Bombay to London Heathrow Airport to Calgary.
Do we need transit visa for the same??
Ahmedabad to Bombay. Air India
Bombay to Calgary. Air Canada.

I do not think you need any VISA in this case as you are not leaving the airport, you are just transiting via the airport. I can be wrong though.

As long you're not waiting in transit for more than one night, you don't need a UK transit visa with a valid Canadian visa. Bear in mind though that Heathrow closes at night and you may have to find a hotel if you're waiting in transit overnight.

It's the same in every liberal city in the US. Even Austin has a thriving hard drugs scene and the police rarely bother them.
They actually give you those drugs in Canada. There are clinics that give you a lower dose to try to help you deal with withdraw symptoms. I work with someone that was from Calgary and worked at the Calgary system. One reason cops don’t care much is because it’s probably hard to decipher who is getting it legally and who isn’t.

Don't know about Austin but it's the same in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, etc. They have safe injection sites and city-provided drugs for those in withdrawal. Honestly, I prefer this over drug violence and turf wars.

Had a few questions for any of the members of this forum that have landed fairly recently: @PRANIT01 @ImpatientAlligator @Alysson
1) Did you select "Other" in the ArriveCan app as the reason for travel to Canada?
2) Did you prepare a BSF186 Form or just provide a printout of the goods you are bringing with you to Canada?
3) Was all that was checked at immigration the COPR and PR visa (if applicable)? Were you asked for proof of funds?
Thanks in advance guys.

With the current FHS annual quota half of what it used to be, chances for 470 is very slim. You want to boost scores or look into PNP.

Heathrow you don't need according to my knowledge.
My 2 cents it I always better to have layover in the same country in you case canada because if you miss the flight or something there it won't be complicated especially if you are traveling first-time.
