Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Hey could you please tell me how you mailed your package? Did you use Purolator on your own or the pick up/drop off option from the website and include a return envelope? Also, did you provide original PR card/Landing papers. Thanks in advance.

Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

Hi All, I had some questions about Tatkal renewal from BLS Toronto: 1) Tatkal renewal is possible by post right? 2) When sending documents by post, the only original document required is the old passport right? Are copies of the PR card/landing papers adequate or do original documents need to...

Living in Ottawa and working for Quebec company?

I would recommend actually moving out of Quebec, getting a letter from your employer stating that you can work remotely from Ontario and establishing residency in Ontario by getting a health card and DL BEFORE applying for PR to be absolutely certain that you'll be approved.

The salary is mentioned in the posting, they don't have any screening calls for this position. I am going through the process as I want to see if they will be willing to give me the Highest and higher than my current salary Level vs the Level Lower than my current salary if I am selected. It's...

This is very true. I am currently going through the interview process for an aerospace engineering position at Transport Canada. They do prefer bilingual people in general. But the salary is lower than my current job so even if I get the position I'll reject it.

PR Card mailed but not received after 3 weeks

You should've received it by now, I too stay near Downtown Toronto and I got the card 5 days after it was mailed. Wait for three more weeks and then contact IRCC, ask them to verify that the address they have on file is correct.

Working remotely for a US company

I'm an FSW EE PR holder and I work remotely for my US employer via it's Canadian Subsidiary (I'd coordinated with both the US and Canadian branches and confirmed this arrangement before landing, the subsidiary is located in Quebec). I live in Ontario and work fully remote, so I will be filing...

Living in Ottawa and working for Quebec company?

Yes, it is not an issue for me, though I did setup my arrangement before I landed via an intracompany transfer. For CEC candidates, I can understand why they get a procedural fairness letter, but their cases are still approvable as long as they live outside Quebec and their employer clearly...

Living in Ottawa and working for Quebec company?

Express Entry states that one must intend to reside outside Quebec, that's why even I need to comply with this rule even after getting PR for a reasonable amount of time. If I don't it can be classified as misrepresentation on a future citizenship or PR renewal application. It is an obligation...

PR Card Renewal & New - 2022 Processing Timeline

You can't reach IRCC via phone from outside Canada, send a webform. Or try to use a Canadian Area code number from the Textnow app while calling, that may work.

Living in Ottawa and working for Quebec company?

Would it not be perfectly fine to work fully remote and work for a Quebec Employer? I am a FSW PR holder and started this after landing. My employment contract clearly mentions I will be working remote long term and I've signed a long term lease in Ontario and got an OHIP card.

    Intention of living outside Quebec

I think working remotely for a Quebec employer is perfectly fine, as long as the employer provides a letter stating that this remote work is a long term arrangement, and one establishes residency in a province outside Quebec. This would convince immigration that one won't simply move back to...

Express Entry (CEC) while working for Quebec Employer

Doing 1. will be adequate along with providing proof of physically living outside Quebec.

Living in Ottawa and working for Quebec company?

Only answering the first part of your questions, I believe you can do either 1. or 2. since the requirement for express entry eligibility is that you need to physically live or intend to live outside Quebec. I have a different but slightly similar situation, I relocated from the US to Canada...

I would recommend getting the PR card in hand and not applying for a PRTD at all. In general, I find the soft landing stuff to be BS, if one doesn't intend to move to Canada permanently, they shouldn't apply for PR in the first place. However, that's just my personal opinion.

    FSW WORLDWIDE

Only if immigration refuses to apply for a PR card (maybe because of a soft landing ) can you apply for a PR card. If you apply for a PR card, I believe all you would need is a Canadian address.

You wouldn't apply for a PR Card, immigration does it for you. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=054&top=10
