as @dxdroid would say,"stay hopeful" my friend
but you do know that this classification applies to all the economic immigration categories not exclusively fsw right?
Yeah I know that, but it is a very convenient excuse to apply to FSW. "We are focusing on candidates currently in Canada. We look forward to welcoming candidates from abroad once the changes to the NOC system are implemented. " There, neatly packaged into a pseudo logical sounding excuse to push out FSW. @ImpatientKangaroo since your response was also similar.

The main flaw in thinking that these changes apply to CEC and PNP as well is that you're assuming that logic actually applies to IRCC decision making.

Find your new noc here
https://www.statcan.gc.ca/eng/concepts/consult-noc/noc-correspondence-prelim

and fyi:" in order to provide organizations and programs with enough time to make a proper transition from NOC 2016 to NOC 2021, the latter is expected to be implemented and become the official classification used by ESDC in the second half of 2022" so dont fret

this further corroborates the logic that express entry is not going anywhere and if it stays it ensures 100% that not a single approved file will be canceled. They are just thinking about the NOC change to introduce next year that's the only change we ll see going forward so guys just stay positive and something tells me by end of this year all of us waiting for PPR will have our golden mail ia. PPR is coming ridding with Mendicino together !!!!!

Well obviously approved files will never get cancelled but not all files are approved.

Gotta agree on Ircc's logical generic reasoning regarding the fsw this year!
Ircc 1/Logic

This noc change is a routine thing that is done once after every 10 years . This is not the modification minister Mendocino requested in the budget.

What I'm saying is this doesn't matter. It's a convenient excuse whether it makes sense or not. It doesn't make sense to prioritize grandpas, tourists and IECs, give updates for those, and continue to completely ignore FSW. But that's exactly what they're doing. This is just another weapon in their arsenal to keep FSWs on the hook

Your scores, ranks and skills are irrelevant if you are outside canada and not in in demand noc

Most of the people in this thread have in-demand NOCs though. They're all some sort of STEM, NOC 0 or A. Had there not been silly things like the CRS cap on OINP, most of the people here would've already gotten their ITAs by now. These doomsday scenarios only apply to some NOC B people really.

Not all stem nocs are called in oinp. Oinp has tech draws that too for few nocs

Knew you would just pick out the one example I gave you. My point is many people here are already working in in-demand NOCs. The worries you have are for long-term and NOC 0 and A people have no worries in long-term because they are always in demand. Not sure if you've lived in Canada but let me tell you, Canada is anything but self-sufficient especially in terms of STEM.

Problem is oinp always had a upper cap. I’m sure they will modify it soon very soon to conduct open draws from the pool.

Yeah probably. NOC B people are the ones who get more competition from inland candidates or Canadian citizens. Canadians don't produce many babies as we already know, and very few of those babies turn to STEM when they grow up. Inland, outland, temporary, permanent; it doesn't matter. Right now, most STEM occupations are in-demand in Canada as evidenced by PNP activities in the recent years and the recent NOC update further evidences it. Everybody says it already but again, most NOC 0 and A are safe in the new NOC rules, if not all. This only tells you that most NOC 0 and A occupations are still in demand.

Even AUS has recently started a program for these occupations. Europe has been hunting for these occupations for the past few years too.

You are safe only if you are inside the canada regardless of your skills
The statement of the decade!
