So future scores should go up?
CRS at the end of 2019 was up at 470s: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html#wb-auto-4

Compare that to now - pool has doubled, PNPs have doubled, TRV fodder education holders have exploded. Something is very wrong somewhere in the assumption that scores will go down. With PGWP extension, so many are going to add 30 points for another year of Canadian exp.

470-low 480 CRS scores are questionable when it comes to their defensibility against the competition. It is pretty surprising that most people are at sub 460 CRS. Hard for me to wrap my head around.

I want to make a poll type thread on this forum to understand why people are unable to reach scores as low as 450s (apart from age, what's holding them back?). But, I'm afraid most here are sort of aware/hyper aware of what they need to do improve CRS and not a true representation of the general population.

I'm honestly curious how many people seem to so easily get 450 and higher. My partner has good credentials and is currently stuck at 438:

- Under 30
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years foreign work experience
- Only lost 3 points for IELTS

He is lacking points for a job offer, Canadian experience, more education and French skills. We are looking into ways to boost points for these.

If your partner gets even one more degree certificate - they'll be at 471. Not sure if a two semester degree certificate would count (you can do your due dilligence), but it'd be steal for you folks. French is definitely another option.

I was 467, went down to 450s because of 5 age points deduction for each year after 2019. Did French, was at 510+ and got my ITA.

IELTS + Masters education + 3+ year foreign exp makes it super easy to be 470+.

Expected. The pool renews fast now. The draw size has to go down. PNP nominations have doubled.
almost 2500 people added above 490 in 2 weeks. Interesting. I am a tech draw person now (1 year as a software dev) at 476. I hope Ontario does a 476-485 tech draw. otherwise I will have to take up the challenge of French soon as I drop to 470 cause of age soon.

Masters degree will boost another 20 points I guess
Masters + 3 years exp + full ielts under 29 and its 481.

Lot of profiles have French so even if you have a bachelors and 3 years exp and French you go above 500. I personally know a lot of people who are trying for Canada who know French and even if professionally they might struggle their score is a lot higher than mine because of a second language.

I'm shocked that the scores have gone up by 5 points and over 4000 people joined the queue over the past 2 weeks. Insane stuff.
The pool was replenishing very fast ever since 2022 draws started because of CECs and PNPs. It shouldn't be a shock. What's shocking is the absolute number of future pool candidates who are in a million+ and are CECs. The scores aren't going to be low for in general EE draws.

I think there are a lot less French bilinguals who have gotten ITAs in 22-23 draws. I think the number could be as low as 300 bilinguals for July 2022-Feb 2023 through EE. My TEF test center told me that there are very few who got B2+ in all. Most try once or twice and give up.

What's very interesting is to see native french speakers(out of France) not using IELTS + French to win here. There are approx 25 other countries that have French as their main language and yet their representation is super low in EE. Given the advantage they have, their representation should be higher.
