At this point, it just seems like FSW processing is tied to worldwide border reopening, if they plan to process the applications at all. Most US applications were sent to Ottawa office which was fairly fast prepandemic. It is possible that Ottawa has too many FSW applications close to finalization it doesn't make sense anymore to sort them based on whether exempt or not, and so they decided to wait until travel restriction is lifted worldwide.

When you click on the link where details is mentioned, the loaded page does say ‘intend to open’.. anyway.. it still is good news
I don't mind that language; it's a government website so they can't be too careful.

Quite recently they’ve been using the word ‘will’. I don’t think they would go back on the Sept 7 plan. We’ll see
FSW train is on its way. CECs get outa the tracks lol.

By the way; any tips before I delete and recreate my EE profile? My profile will expire so I'm gonna have to remake it. What should I absolutely not do while I recreate my profile?

its free in the US as well if you are employed in a decent company. company pays for it.
its not free in canada. they tax the shyt out of you to pay for it.
I don’t think it’s true.. even employed with decent company has to pay more for insurance..

Great to hear. I really look forward to US-based FSWs getting their PPRs starting from this month. Have you recently ordered your GCMS?
So you mean FSW-US will be getting their golden mail, how about FSW-Inland; they never had the problem with border and yet haven't heard anything

Judging from LegalFalcon’s recent expository prose; If IRCC is actually waiting for travel restrictions to be lifted before processing and finalizing outland applications that may explain why they haven’t conducted draws for outlanders yet because doing that would mean they immediately have to start processing these new applications as well.

Most of us rightly think that sending ITAs now shouldn’t be a problem since none of those invited will land this year but from this recent revelation it seems non-conduction of these draws was more related to the pause of outland applications processing than Covid19 risk

I’m just chilling till September 15 to see what excuse they are going manufacture again.
Same. Trying not to get my hopes back up for September. Besides, based on the documents posted by Legalfalcon, my application is going to be placed in group C as my medicals will expire in a couple of months. But as long as there's some movement, some sign that they've resumed processing in September, I'll be happy.

No one can understand IRCC’s logic. It beats me why FSW inland are not treated like CEC inland. I have no idea. Maybe IRCC doesn’t want many outlanders to find a way to become FSW inland

Yeah; i think once the movements begin everyone will heave a sigh of great relief; whether they are waiting for draws, or in Category A, B or C of application processing

I spoke with an agent and they said they could not see any recent changes. The agent did confirm that my medical had been extended for 12 months (it expired back in February of this year). Is it possible that the ghost update today was my medical being extended?
congrats! I saw another fsw-o (non-us based) got medical extention today. Was it a usual trend in previous months or it could be a sign of change?
