My favorite reply from the tweet linked above:

"Please process TR2PR applications in Order! Please first come first served! Thanks, There are fews appliances submitting before 70 minutes got No AOR while others submitting after 120 minutes got PR. Thank you, Sean. "

Wow even kitchen appliances getting PR before FSW.

You apply under FSW, get your PR in 8 months
This will never happen. Stop dreaming. The days of FSWs getting PR in 8 months or even 12 were long gone even before the pandemic.

By the way, if you're genuinely concerned about your field and prospects in Canada, you could actually try to get a different degree from a Canadian school. This would fully justify going back to school and you wouldn't have wasted time and money. Ever thought about it?
honestly, idk what you're talking about here. I have never expressed any concerns about finding work in my current field in Canada. I switched fields independent of my decision to move to Canada (mechanical eng to IT). Regardless of where I go, I don't intend to work as a mechanical engineer ever again.

Adding that to my list of goals 1) learn French 2) become a kitchen appliance.

All set!
Skip french lmao. Doesn't do shit. Unless your english is meh (and french is well beyond the minimum CLB 7) and you can manage to get into the OINP range.

If you're currently in IT that's really good, lots of IT jobs in Canada (and everywhere else really).

How hard is it to find jobs in Germany during holiday visa, if you don’t know German? Lol
duck that, it's a bit easy to get a german gf even if you are a bit shy, cause most of them girls are outgoing. much experience i have, but i don't want to be in germany, i narrowly escaped from my last ex, else i'd be in some tiny island to the south of finland where the population of the town is 5000 and freezing cold weather with depressed people around who talk more swedish than finnish.

xD turns out you're wrong as well. Still not 8 months. And it will never be 8 months again. I don't buy into pipe dreams.

And yeah, I'm getting into IT now, which basically invalidates my previous experience. Which is also one reason I'm unwilling to bank what little is left of my savings on a job seeker visa to go to Germany, when I don't have any appreciable experience to get a job there in 6 months.

Lol but I don’t care about finding a GF, just jobs there. Been looking at where Brazilians are eligible for easier work visas in case there are no news about FSW in Q1. There is Germany, Chile and Portugal.

Yeah get into IT and never look back. Be advised though your experience is always better valued in Germany/EU/US than in Canada.
