Then they should not do any draws next year until this backlog is cleared but knowing IRCC, they will just keep piling on. How long are these 562000 applications are supposed to wait?
Agreed... they'll just keep going. Remember, there was already a pile in 2019. How did that happen? How come it couldn't be dealt with? I've prepared myself for a looooong wait cuz well, that's Canada's way, shit takes much longer than it would anywhere else.

Great point!

How are you getting these insights? Do you have insider knowledge of IRCC or are you a consultant/lawyer?

What do think about the backlog of outland applicants? Any insider timelines?
the news article was shared to us by @seadrag0n . and usually I don't dig deeper into ircc statistics, but it should available to the public i guess.

All posts you see here are just thoughts and assumptions. You should take these with a grain of salt. Also to reiterate lawyers/consultants do not know more than what we know. We all are sailing in same boat.

as long as the responsible official authorities keep their doors shut against the applicants, it's obvious to assume and speculate. If IRCC provided transparency and good correspondence then we wouldn't have been speculating

I got this exact same issue after getting AOR, still cannot see the "optional documents" section sometimes even though the main list of documents is visible. If you uploaded the document, it will be there.

Quebec sets admissions target of 52,500 immigrants for 2022
Majority of newcomers to arrive through economic immigration programs, including Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

Quebec could admit up to 52,500 new permanent residents in 2022, the province said in its new immigration plan released October 28.

The majority of new admissions to Quebec in 2022 will come through the province’s economic immigration programs, including the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) and the Québec experience program (PEQ).

The plan stays the course on the targets established during the public consultation held in the summer of 2019 as part of Quebec Immigration Planning for the 2020-2022 period.

It calls for the admission of 49,500 to 52,500 immigrants in 2022, all categories combined with in addition 18,000 admissions to reach the admission levels that were not reached by the federal government in 2020 due to Covid-19.

The immigration levels plan is presented each year by the Quebec Immigration Department. It indicates the number of new permanent residents the province intends to admit in the coming year, as well as the categories in which it will admit them.

Following a 1991 immigration agreement signed with Canada, Quebec became responsible for setting its own admission targets. Quebec is the only province in Canada with such an arrangement with Canada’s federal government.

The new figures announced today mark an increase in Quebec’s immigration targets compared to the past two years.

This increase is in line with the promise made by the province’s current governing party, the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ), to gradually increase the number of newcomers after reducing admission targets back in 2019. A 20 per cent decrease was introduced that year by the CAQ to improve the selection and francization of newcomers to Quebec.

When the CAQ lowered admission targets, it did so on the basis that Quebec already has difficulty with the integration and francization of its newcomers. Since then, the Quebec government focused on the integration and francization of new permanent residents and has made significant investments in this area. Over the coming years, Quebec will likely continue to cautiously increase its immigration targets to ensure it is able to meet its integration goals.

In addition to increasing immigration targets, other important new measures have recently been taken by the Quebec government to facilitate the arrival of foreign workers in the province. These include increasing the limit on the percentage of temporary foreign workers that businesses in certain sectors of the economy can hire from 10 to 20 per cent of their workforce.

what' the LOE about?
My submitted docs list won't show my LOE. It will randomly show it when I refresh the page sometimes but 99% of the time it won't show. I'm sure I've submitted it but I don't know... What's in the LOE isn't all that critical but you never know...

I got this exact same issue after getting AOR, still cannot see the "optional documents" section sometimes even though the main list of documents is visible. If you uploaded the document, it will be there.
I *think* I uploaded it lol. I've checked dozen times before submitting. But now I'm getting paranoid.

I wonder is IRCC also handling Quebec's Skilled Worker Program? Or they really do their own thing, feds be damned.

Yes my hubby's score and education will make it 500 plus as he has also clb 9 in ielts n masters but I am principal applicant b/c of age..The point is that learning french requires true dedication and A LOT OF HARDWORK which I am unable to find and do as the situation of fsw is highly questionable...Do you think I should try or is there any chance of fsw in future?
i would like to say ''bon courage!''. Getting to the level where you are now in french is no mean feat. Big hugs to you. Please give it a further push. Try TCF Canada. I have discovered that TCF writing is easier than TEF writing. With some practice, you will get clb 7 in TCF writing. Before now, TEF listening used to be easy as past questions were often repeated verbatim and this was why people preferred TEF to TCF. But recently, they are introducing new questions from time to time especially for the long texts and this has raised the stakes. For TCF listening, I recommend tv5monde TCF apprendre. You can google that. I also recently discovered another helpful website tcfca. You may wish to take a peep at these resources. Ayez du courage!

So you all have no idea what you are talking about? Thats a shame. I thought some of you had informed opinions.
