Did your ECAS show the third line ?
HKVO must care more about applicant time especially after medical, coz day after day applicant lose time from visa validity and this will narrow the options of getting flight tickets and landing plans.
I think the pace get slower from the end of October, many in Chinese forum have been waiting for more than 4 months without getting their MR
Let's pray for VO to get back to it's speed

Yes my 3rd line was updated sometime int he 3rd week of November. I'm not sure exactly when so I entered Nov 28 on the spreadsheet.

Exactly! What's going on at HKVO?! They are probably one of the slowest, if not THE slowest, VO right now, and it's just incomprehensible why. It almost feels like all the visa officers went on maternity leave TOGETHER. :'(

It could be that all the holidays were causing the slow-down, and hopefully things will start picking up again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for us all.

Btw, can you please tell me which spreadsheet you're referring to? Thanks.

This spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11gAbKSoDoOr1s8_raB1qwz0i-ZH0NyNWhhn18O6kHwQ/htmlview?pli=1&sle=true#gid=1627896255

It contains detailed application information for everyone who cares to enter their information, and has a lot of interesting tools you can see to sort through the information.

I encourage everyone to enter their information. There is a web form for doing it: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Wl4oS7u4P1oek09X6ZUO6hHK-9jE3TNIAwgHSWMowAA/viewform. After you fill it in once, you will get a personalized link that you can bookmark which will allow you to edit your information once you pass each step. In that way, people will see the progress of applications from various VOs, NOCs, etc.

Good luck everyone and here's hoping HKVO wakes up soon!

Hi Future, the web form u mentioned is blocked in the mainland, thus why applicants from the mainland do not update their status. Just send me your e-mail, I'll share the info of HKVO applicants' timeline. Good luck~

Looks like the HKVO is really lack of staff, just come across my mind to check the consulate page and see that they are hiring support cleck for immigration section. Hope they will soon get enough staff and our application would process faster. finger crossed!

Yes it is true , all google related services are blocked in the mainland
Chinese HKVO QQ group does not accept new members
And we are all in lack of information

Hi Everyone,
I am May 7th applicant. I received Medical Request on 16th Feb. HKVO is not moving as fast as in previous years, as the office is overwhelmed by extra workload to unwind Investors Immigration applications which were all canceled in last June.

It was a long wait for me from VO started processing (late October) to MR. It is not easy, but it will eventually happen. Stay positive!!

Thanks a lot! The most convenient thing would probably be to send me a PM here. If you give really detailed timelines I can even add spreadsheet entries, if those people don't mind.

Wow thank you very interesting. So some people are getting visas more recently, if I'm reading this correctly. But they're all on the Chinese forum. Weird.

Sigh... another week goes by and I hear nothing...

The processing speed is definitely baffling. Doesn't the HKVO have to also start processing Express Entry applications soon as well ? They are promising a 6-month turn-around, but with the current backlog, I just don't see how that's feasible. I think they will upset a lot of non-EE applications if they decide to give priority to EE applications. Something has got to change in the next few months.

Unfortunately they don't seem to care who they upset.

As they started to send files to many VO. not selected by applicant himself, I think for EE they will send files to another VO, the one which has less files to process

HKVO has started to send files to other VOs? I've only heard of CIC doing this for NDVO applicants.
