FSW 2014 December - Last Batch

It seems that all of the December applications completeness check is over. Those whose applications were not complete, their applications would have already been returned and similarly those NOC whose cap is over their applications would have also been returned back to them. Because I have even noticed on the main forum that one person whose application reached CIO on 22nd December, got his application returned. And the in the cover letter with returned application it was mentioned that his completeness check was done on 2nd Jan 2015. So, after 2nd Jan till today further 17-days have passed, so it seems that applications received from 22nd December till 31st December have passed through completeness check already during this time.

If someone has information contrary to what I explained above please comment.

I think, as George said, they are done with their completeness checks. Between Dec 22nd and January 2nd, there were only 5 working days assuming Dec 24th and Dec 31st to be full working days. This means that they are typically taking around <5 working days to perform the completeness checks. Based on this, I don't believe there any more applications that are yet to go through completeness checks.

I wish to God that you're right and that all of us have already gone through the first hurdle of Completeness Check!
Lets hope we all will be getting some "Positive" news(email) soon.

I kept tracking CIC website for current number of applications throughout november and december ( and i mean every single day, at least thrice everyday) . I was a bit relieved when they added up a new column in December , outlining how many apps per categories they received and how many went through that completeness check thing or were roughly in the loop.

But, on Jan 1, 2015, it appeared to me that the world flipped upside down. I still remember when i clicked on my bookmark and i landed up on PAGE NOT FOUND instead of the usual FSW 'Applications we will accept' page. God, that was such a shocker.

I dont really understand their timelines and the shadow games of wait. However, i do understand that these documents are very important to each and every one of us as our future plans relies on them, and based on these facts i really appreciate CIC's efforts that they put in more time and efforts to scrutinize properly, BUT, we are just humans, at least I can't stand this aggravation of 'not-knowing-anything' for the first time in my life.

Could anyone please share their not-to-worry tricks with me ?

Hi,

Yes, You are right. The column for selecting the Visa office is not available in form from November 2014. It will automatically select the Visa office based on your current address. The measure is taken to avoid the aspirants to select their preferred country to ensure faster processing. This information was told by my consultancy, not sure how far it is true.

First and for most, Do you remember the Cap of your NOC at 31 December 2014? Usually, if it was less than 600 - 700 you are in the safe zone. because your application might have reach there and went through the completeness check before the cap limit gets to 1000.

Dont worry about the missing link anymore cos they took it out since 1st Jan 2014 as now they are not based on the cap limits anymore but the highest ranking profiles in the pool of Express Entry.

As i explained to you above, If your application reached there before 31st of December and the NOC cap was not filled, you got nothing to worry. Just stay calm and keep look for your CC to be charged

Nick, as I understand, there was an updated cap status for Dec 26th, which I missed since I was flying and then busy in Toronto submitting the application in time via FEDEX..
Do you happen to have the updated last number for 2172?
