Dear friends,

I just did my crazy landing today at Rainbow bridge, Niagara Falls. All went very easy. Just one thing, I asked TWICE in the US side if that refusal will affect any Visa application in the future and they said NO, you will not even be in our records so no declare this at all.

Can anyone tell me approximately how long it takes to receive MR from Ottawa office? Thanks

Rathna, congratulations! Could you explain how was the process to receive? Are you in the US? Did you include a prepaid shipping label with Canada post? Were they delivered to your door or mailbox? How long it took to receive since package was activated?

Thanks!

ll14 does your activation have a estimated delivery date? My package shows that it left Canada on the Canada post website and in the USPS it says it's in Montreal. No updates in the last 24 hrs getting nervous ...

I don't think so. Besides, the PPR gives you 30 days, if I'm not mistaken, to send passports to CPC Ottawa...
Makes sense. . . Thank you Dittmar

Didn't you send CSE and GCMS request, have you heard from CPC yet?

Hi Dittmar, I missed this message.
Nope, nothing so far. But I got to the bottom of it.

As a matter of fact, I have been stuck with no third line update for three weeks now and although I filed for GCMS notes, raised a CSE, neither of these two options will generate any result soon. I contacted the Doctor's office, and they followed-up next day with an email saying that the results were uploaded with eMedical software on January 9, 2015. I wasn't expecting anything else from their end, but to my surpise, Dr. Garrett (who went beyond the call of duty) personally got in contact with me after seeing the email that was aprehanded by his assistant.

According to Dr.Garrett, some of IME# that are sent in MRs don't open up on eMedical at all. CIC is aware of the issue and has an instruction which asks the Doctor to create new UMI# file (upfront) with a note indicating the flawed IME# and proceed with the ordinary examination. Later on, when NHQ receives the UMI# file through eMedical, they merge it with IME# and consequently the GCMS assessment pertaining to Medical is complete, and the PR application moves on. As a result of this unorthodox processing, delays are possible and the third line may not appear for some applicants at all.

Considering aforementioned, I would NOT recommend doing upfront examination before MR, as it will likely retard the processing rather than push things forward. In case you are not seeing a third line update for a while (more than 2 weeks since uploading the results) you can check out your eMedical print-out. In case the line under the barcode starts with UMI# and not IME#, you should bundle-up for more waiting.

my medical sheet show IME NOT UMI
i did my medical on 25 november and uploaded same day and till now no third line
so what do you think???

Nilesh,

I know it is frustrating that CPC is not following any order (or at least we don't know on what priority they are processing applications). If you go through spreadsheet, it is clear that there are lots of people who have completed medicals in Nov, and still waiting for PPR.

So patience is the key and virtue here, and for sure, God will help us all. I hope you will get it soon. All the best ...

when your medical have been done ??
did your 3rd line updated??

Thanks friend. I just brought an updated bank statement from a Canadian bank, the officer was sufficiently happy with it and my landing was supper easy. They just asked me, did you bring your passport, CoPr and any proof of fund? I said yes there you are. Then I was asked to take a sit and after 10 min they called me to sign the CoPR, seal my passport and leave.

Mine return label (Canada to USA) got activate on 26th. Expected delivery is 29th (today). The only update I see from CanadaPost is left Canada, and USPS is process in Montreal. Not sure how they can deliver today. I might be wrong but as per Rathna's updates, it seems it took her 5 days to get her passport.
