I'm really not sure how Vienna operates. I have some friends who applied in previous years and some got treated pretty fast while others waited for a while. I think there is no rule, just pure luck.
One of my friends sent them an update to the file when the application reached Vienna (new ID docs or address change), and he got treated couple of days after. He thinks that they took his file from the pile, added the docs and then put back the file on top of the pile. Maybe it's an idea for the strategy.
Btw, what did you write in the generic app form as a country of birth? I was born while we were still ex-you, so I was not sure what to write. I ended up writing Yu as it was among the options. But I am not sure now was it correct or not. For my kid I wrote Serbia.
