Did everybody in this thread input their information in the global spreadsheet? If not, please do so. The processing average time of CPC Ottawa has certainly increased, but the information in the spreadsheet is not be reflecting the actual reality...

i have asked couple of times how to do that .. but no response .. whenever i want to input i had to give all the information again .. is there any way i can just update my info ? thats why my info is not yet updated ..

When you update the Spreadsheet you get a customized link/url. You need to save this URL in order to be able to pull up your entry and make changes.

If you do not have this URL, just create another entry for yourself. The duplicates are supposed to take care of themselves, though I do not have experience of it. Yes, in this case you would have to enter all the information again, but that should be the last time you do it, as long as you don't loose the customized URL.

Hi Diplomatru,

Nothing about your 3rd line yet? A friend of mine had her results uploaded on Jan 07 and didn't get it yet...

I did my medical in the US. They took little more than a week to update eMedical. From there it took one or two days more than 2 weeks to update in ECAS.

Hi Dittmar, I missed this message.
Nope, nothing so far. But I got to the bottom of it.

As a matter of fact, I have been stuck with no third line update for three weeks now and although I filed for GCMS notes, raised a CSE, neither of these two options will generate any result soon. I contacted the Doctor's office, and they followed-up next day with an email saying that the results were uploaded with eMedical software on January 9, 2015. I wasn't expecting anything else from their end, but to my surpise, Dr. Garrett (who went beyond the call of duty) personally got in contact with me after seeing the email that was aprehanded by his assistant.

According to Dr.Garrett, some of IME# that are sent in MRs don't open up on eMedical at all. CIC is aware of the issue and has an instruction which asks the Doctor to create new UMI# file (upfront) with a note indicating the flawed IME# and proceed with the ordinary examination. Later on, when NHQ receives the UMI# file through eMedical, they merge it with IME# and consequently the GCMS assessment pertaining to Medical is complete, and the PR application moves on. As a result of this unorthodox processing, delays are possible and the third line may not appear for some applicants at all.

Considering aforementioned, I would NOT recommend doing upfront examination before MR, as it will likely retard the processing rather than push things forward. In case you are not seeing a third line update for a while (more than 2 weeks since uploading the results) you can check out your eMedical print-out. In case the line under the barcode starts with UMI# and not IME#, you should bundle-up for more waiting.

Dittmar, it took a while for your meds to show up. Did you have IME or UMI eMedical form?

We did our medicals on Dec 23rd, and the results were sent on Jan 07.
Yes I have. On the same they I sent the UMI eMedical forms (with the IME # on it) to CPC Ottawa by e-mail. The doctor told us we should do it, but I was not confident about it at first. However, searching in the internet, I saw people advising to do so...

QUESTION!! Can I temporarily leave Canada while waiting for PPR? Can it potentially cause any delay in my PR application processing?

I submitted my medical on January 15 and don't expect to get the PPR by another month or so. I have to leave Canada for a business trip for about two weeks using my multiple TRV. Not sure if that's a risky move . . .

Cheers!

I don't think so. Besides, the PPR gives you 30 days, if I'm not mistaken, to send passports to CPC Ottawa...
