Question regarding Case Specific Enquiry

Background:
I am an Indian in the US and CPC-O is my VO. I got PPR and am trying to ask them if they can print the Visa in the US. They have so far not responded and I am thinking of doing a CSE.

Question:

 • Can someone please confirm if the place to do a CSE for CPC-O is https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
 • In the Type of application: dropdown should I select Overseas Permanent Residence - Federal Skilled Worker Class - Is this correct?

I'd be grateful for any advice. Thank you in anticipation.

Here is the link for CSE directed directly to Ottawa: https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=ottawa

I SEND EMAIL TO CPC OTTAWA TO RECEIVE MY VISAS IN CAIRO OFFICE IN 13 JANUARY AND I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY RESPONSE TILL NOW ( I SENT MANY REMINDERS ) AND DEAD TIME AFTER 30 DAYS END ON 12 FEBRUARY...WHAT CAN YOU ADVISE ME TO DO ????

I am at your situation but I think it is so early to send for Case Specific Enquiry. Frankly, I don't like to disturb them . Perhaps, they push them to delay my application more and more

Perfect. Thank you very much. This is what I was missing. I'm happy I did not send it, but I will do this evening.

This is not correct. I encourage you to do a CSE too.

Dear Friends,

Tracking number of return envelop (Xpresspost USA) got activated today at 15:46 Canada website time( I do not know if its EST or not). Our passports received by CPC on Jan 14, 2015 :)

I cannot wait to see our immigrant visas :)

PER...PER....PER!! :P :P

With God's blessings, I have received my PER today, timeline on the left....

Thank you all fellow forum members for the help and guidance that I have received so far.....May CIC shower PER's to all applicants that are still waiting for PER.....

Can anyone tell me further timeline for MR & PCC?

Thanks in advance and goodluck to fellow members!

It might take little over 1 month after your PER.

Good luck :)

Do Canadian permanent residents have to file taxes (in Canada) for non-canadian income? Or is it only for money earned inside Canada?

Btw, this question is open to anyone else that has insight into this matter.

Yes you need to declare worldwide income to CRA, if that income is reported in another country then you should only be taxed for example. I file in Canada and the UK. My UK income is taxed in UK but reported in Canada also and My Canadian income taxed in Canada and reported in Canada and UK.

Exactly,

You should have received an email like that from the VO.

Medical examination for everyone
Medical Instructions will be sent separately via email within the next 48 hours) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp
· Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) for yourself and your spouse. You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued. The RPRF will be refunded if the application is refused, if you withdraw your application or if you choose not to use your visa. Please follow these steps:
1. Go to the website: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en
2. Read the instructions on each page, and click “Continue” to proceed.
3. Select the “Immigration” link, followed by “Right of Permanent Residence Fee”
4. You must pay this fee once for yourself as principal applicant.
5. You must also pay this fee for your accompanying spouse or common law partner.
6. Enter the number of fee payments (X) in the box beside the fee of $490.
7. Click “Submit”
8. Proceed to pay your fees by selecting “Pay” and then follow the instructions to pay with a credit card.
9. Once the payment process is complete, the web site will display your official receipt in PDF format.
10. You must send the receipt to CPC-O. For fastest service, please attach it to an email and send it to the address CPCO-Cost-recovery.CTDO-Recouvrement-frais @ cic.gc.ca

Right

Hi! This got me worried here. On my medical request and additional docs email, there is no number 10 which is the instruction to email the rprf receipt to cost recovery. Instead, i was asked to send ppc and rprf to 219 laurier address. Anybody with same instruction? Thank you.
