Hi everyone,
I sent an email to CPC-O on 6th Jan for change of address. I have not received any response from them, nor has my address been changed on the application status page.

Can someone suggest how long they are taking to respond to emails nowadays? It has already been 20 days (14 working days) since I sent my email.

If anyone has recently received a reply to their email from CPC-O, then please let me know which date's email they are responding to currently.
I sent an email request for the same on December 24, 2014. They updated my address online on Jan 13th between 12-3 am (I just happened to be checking my online status). This of course, JUST was a few hours AFTER they had sent my Visa Request email (with the old/wrong address, of course). COINCIDENCE? I think not ;D

Keep in mind they are probably dealing with a backlog from Christmas week, I would give it a few extra days. Worst case scenario, they'll go and update it right after they email you passport request, like they did for me.

Hi guys,

I need advice here, i got MR & RPRF yesterday.

In the RPRF mail, i have to pay online and send the receipt by email to CPC cost recovery.

But there is no instruction for the medical, so do i need to send two emails "1st email to CPC cost recovery & 2nd email to CPC includes Medical receipt & RPRF receipt"

Or i should do the above and also send original receipts by courier.

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone! I have a wonderful news. We became Permanent Residents of Canada today! The landing procedure was done at a local CIC office in Ottawa. No appointment was required as this location has drop in landing hours on a couple Tuesdays of each month (odd dates). Hours are at 10 am and at 1 pm. The process went very fast and smoothly. We were asked for our COPR letters at the door, a CIC employee put a number on them and placed in the queue. We then went in and found seats in front of 3 windows where people are called by officers. When our names were called we walked to a window and were asked for the photographs and passports. The officer then asked us some generic questions about our last entry and we also had to answer and initial a couple questions on our COPR. She asked us to sign and date and that was it! She congratulated us on becoming PR and returned our passports stamped and a copy of our signed COPR. She informed us that our PR status will be valid as long as we stay 2 out of 5 years in Canada and that our PR cards will arrive in mail in 4-6 weeks. We can apply for our SIN in 24 hours. That was it! Such a pleasant experience at the CIC office! Our PR journey is finished and I wish everyone who is waiting such a smooth process! Good luck, guys! This forum rocks!
Congratulations,

Extremely happy for you,

Good luck and best of Luck..

Question regarding Case Specific Enquiry

Background:
I am an Indian in the US and CPC-O is my VO. I got PPR and am trying to ask them if they can print the Visa in the US. They have so far not responded and I am thinking of doing a CSE.

Question:

  • Can someone please confirm if the place to do a CSE for CPC-O is https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
  • In the Type of application: dropdown should I select Overseas Permanent Residence - Federal Skilled Worker Class - Is this correct?

I'd be grateful for any advice. Thank you in anticipation.
