I did say last week that we should be seeing AliMo's MR this week. So snayak... you are looking at next week since you were a week behind AliMo in getting SLU.

Harry, you and I are looking at 3 weeks but hopefully sooner.

108 days since PER and 36 days since SLU, still no MR.

Anybody in my situation out here?

I am 29th Dec applicant.

a few of us. I am on 141 days since PER. Only got my SLU this week.

I am not not surprised at your days since PER but a little surprised at 36 days since SLU.

No one know how they work ..
I got the SLU yesterday after 130 days and another friend with similar timeline got the MR directly last Tuesday ..it's crazy to be waiting .. but let's see how things unfold for us .!!

ritvick this is progress. You probably won't get MR till they get the PCC received and processed.

@ SL But if you read the email they sent, it is not sent by my visa officer its by a general agent, so i dont really know why did my Visa officer not send the email.

They received the PCC yesterday morning and i even sent them an email stating the same.

That may be the case but any communication is a good sign of progress on the file.

Hi everyone,

I NEED YOUR HELP URGENTLY.

After long way with the medical, that was over when the third line was updated, I received an email asking for RCMP (the Canadian police certificate) which I did .
Now I received an email saying the following:
RCMP Criminal Record Check: Please provide an explanation regarding a Positive Identification to RCMP Immigration file indicated on your RCMP certificate you have submitted to our office.

I have no idea what was in the certificate because it was sent directly to them, and I haven't seen it.
I'm 100% sure that I have no criminal offenses, the only thing I can think about is that it can be because I'm staying in Canada while my work permit expired but I'm on implied status because I have another work permit extension application in process. I don't if this is why I have positive RCMP or not because I believe that the check was conducted before the expiry date of my current work permit.

It is very serious and I don't know what to do or how to know what was in the certificate to provide explanation to it.

Please help me

first do not panic....


second I suggest you contact RCMP and make sure you clarify that indeed there is nothing on your record then get a copy of your police record for yourself and submit it to them via email asking for them to further explain what they mean by the positive identification if your record is clear, it might have been a mistake on their side . Second of all if you think it's your immigration status. Simply write a letter explaining your status in canada and provide a proof that you have submitted an application and it's currently in process.

The implied status is not an issue since you have already applied and it is easy to prove that you have applied by submitting any confirmation CIC gave you.

Don't worry buddy..Cic has its own special way of taking care of things ..but rather than going a full circle again with express entry wait and everything will fall in place soon !!

We have very similar timeline, I am still waiting for PPR. I got my third line update on April 20th though, no news after that
