but why am I the only one whose processing date started in September while all of you have the same exact day in August!!

I think this is the date our files reached the processing VO (Ottawa or Embaba) .. no big difference I think between the two dates ... the most important thing is that the SLU appeared for you .. and SLU appeared for us on the same date, so they should work on our files simultaneously ..

Agree... It's just the actual date when it was transferred to the VO.... And ever since then it's been waiting in a que for its turn... So in REALITY they just started processing today... (or this week)... Therefore the updated status

Maybe your date is Sept because you originally sent your application a little later then the rest and therfore your PER was issued later?

thanks bro, yes I applied few days after you, maybe its the reason.

I applied on the 14th of May
regarding the PER actually I don't know...
I made a stupid mistake that I' am so worried about till now, I did not supply email in the generic form so they sent me regular mail that was never delivered to me, the only information i received was an Email reply from CIO that my file was transferred to CPC-O on the 28th of August

Take it easy, it is not so important now .. but usually it is 10-14 days before moving the file to a VO, so, it must have been between 14-18 Aug 2014

I see a lot of people from London VO,Accra VO ,Warsaw VO and Singapore Visa office have got SLU today like us ... you can check their forums in this website .. and some people are mentioning it could be just a system update, like updating address activity happened earlier .... don't know ... any thoughts?

I noticed the same, the SLU on ECAS seems to be global thing
also CPC-O applicants does not seem to be affected by this change(I think our files are at Cairo)

Checking my GCMS report I found that my file was ready to transfer from CPC-Ottawa on 11 August 2014 and had been received at Cairo VO on 20 August 2014. For your info I got my PER on 28 July 2014

I am waiting for an updated GCMS report by end of next week, hope this time I find real activity on my file

New line added to my ecas status:

We started processing your application on 26th August 2014

So it says 2014 not 2015...which is strange.. But at least it's some news to break the deadly silence

Nothing received so far in terms of MR or anything else

On 14 August 2015 I got my last GCMS report with the date of 17 July 2015 which showed no progress or activity on my file
