Thank you coolcoral & xman , I have ordered GCMS notes and waiting. But I was trying to say that a VO with both English and French capabilities may be hard to find in LVO - just a thought. But I put all my trust in the Almighty God, things will surely be alright by his grace.

I wanted to inform the forum that one of the Oct last application has returned due to cap
very strange that cic updates info into the system weekly basis andfor noc 30 12 only in December showed cap reach wherein October application coming back
awaiting to receive my file back too
at least some of us could have other choice to apply under other noc if cic would have updated in time
better luck next time for us for those files will be returned back

1. Send my passport to India along with my wife. Is it legal to do so? If yes, do I need to handover authorization letter to my wife? What if later on the passport authority or customs notice that I received stamping in New Delhi, while I was in USA? Is it illegal?

2. Request NDVO to send transfer my file to NDVO. Is it possible? If yes, how long of a delay shall I expect?

Please advise me on the prudent option.

Your insight is highly appreciated.

K_B: Yes it is legal, with authorization letter. And no issues whatsoever

K_B -- This is better option you will save flight tickets, but it has risk of NDVO taking more time than necessary to reply back. It will take at least 20 days to reply

Hi All,

I have been missing for the last week from the forum. I was tensed and stressed at not having recd my PPR mail.
I got DM on 19th Feb, however, no other updates of any kind till yesterday.
Our Canadian rep somehow didnt check his mails or something and the PPR issued on 20th Feb by NDVO didnt reach us till yesterday...it reached only because incessantly pushing our consultancy here in India to cross check.

Finally a blessing...received my PPR mail!!!
Already submitted my family's and my passports with VFS.

During this time, a lot of people from the forum and off the forum have been a very strong support.

One piece of information I would like to share with the forum...

I was a Permanente Resident since 2009, but due to some circunstances I was not able to meet residency obligations and though my circunstances were of high importance to me and my family, both me and my lawyer did not believe it could serve to apply for extension under humanitarian and compassionante grounds, so I chose to re-apply from the scratch.

It did not come as a surprise but rather as a confirmation on how straight-forward and no-so-bureaucratic Canada can be when on March 3rd I get a call from the consulate indicating that they could not proceed with the assessment of my application as they actually could not grant me a right that I actually already had. Thus I would have 2 choices: request an assessment on compassionate/humanitarian grounds that could lead to a refusal or extension and second option to decline my PR status and waive my appeal rights to that status so that they could than evaluate my request.

On the same day I submitted my waiver and consent document and early morning yesterday they acknowledged its receipt and that I should wait for further notice. To my surprise less than 5 hours later I get the MR emails for me and my family. Way to go Canada!
