Wrong! :P

All eligible applications received before January 1st will be considered for processing based on current guidelines.

That tells nothing.

They may issue new guidelines for January 1st that keep FSW14 open with a few minor changes.

Until Ministerial Instructions come up we are all just guessing.

Dude, please read in depth and carefully Note in link that I wrote...finally they put some boundaries.

The quote in the link is "Sending more than one application does not increase your chances of being accepted for permanent residence. All eligible applications received before January 1st will be considered for processing based on current guidelines. Fees will be charged for each one."

"ALL applications received before Jan 1st will be processed under current guidelines." Note the emphasis on ALL. They simply mean that they won't pick and choose applications received before Jan 1st for processing as their intent here is to discourage people from sending duplicate application (it seems they have been getting a lot of duplicate applications lately).

They could easily mean ALL application BEFORE Jan 1st will be processed under current guidelines while only SOME applications after Jan 1st will be processed under current guidelines. I don't understand why people are making a big deal about this statement. If one avoids over-interpretation, and keeps the context in mind, it tells nothing about when the current FSWP will end.

Are you aware that Nigeria and Senegal were cleared as Ebola free contries by WHO? Are you also aware that many Nigerians have gotten PPR even as recent as last week? If you want to return to India I think you can, but certainly not because of Ebola in Senegal because this country has been cleared. Thank you

Can you please refer Ministerial Instructions No. 13 dated 31-Oct-2014 on the CIC website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/mi/) and revisit your statement.

Please also advise the latest date of PPR from West African Countries and their latest date of stay there

Hi everyone!

A quick question please. Does anybody have an idea how much it'll cost to do medicals for a family of 4 in the US? 2 children under 3 inclusive.
My VO is AVO but it appears we might be in the US when MR comes. New York area in particular.

Responses please.

It will be around 350 USD per person.

See the link above to know the current status of the country you are now as far as Ebola is concerned. I think a little research would given the status rather than chosen to be afraid over something that is totally untrue. Ebola is currently in 3 countries namely: Guinea, Seira Leone and Liberia. Thank you.

PER received

Just received the PER email, and have updated the spreadsheet correspondingly.

App : 11th August 2014
Fee : 16th November 2014 (after 97 days)
PER : 30th November 2014 (after 14 days)

If I am correct, then the case will now be transferred to my visa office, and only after the concerned visa officer gets to my application, will they send the PCC request ?

Thanks for the help of all the members on this forum for creating such a productive and encouraging environment.

Regards

Congratulations, wishing everyone in different stages speedy response

Seems like you won't have to worry about your application after all. Good luck!

The place of birth in my passport is different from my birth certificate. Is it going to make any issue? would be really helpful if anybody can help me.
Also is birth certificate is mandatory for FSW?

It can...it is better to avoid sending BC... I will suggest that you shall make an affidavit (by you and your parent/s) on stamp paper and send to avoid any issues/delays.

First of all, I got an email from the visa office that my application had been approved. Thank you for all the advice all the way along. However, from the following line the email, it seems that they are not going to ask for my passport, this does not sound right.

Your application has been approved and your COPR is being printed at our London office. You should receive this document via post shortly.
Congratulations. You will not require PPR if you are not required to get a visa to enter Canada .i.e. British Passport

That's is just d plane truth. Senegal is not among the flagged countries with Ebola risk by d government of Canada. Your application will not be affected cos u are presently residence of Senegal. Pls feel free to complete your PR process. Going back to your country has nothing to do with PR application. They are independent decisions.

Brothers, The Fee Payment Form has been updated ( although they still right August 2014 in the website, but if you downloaded it you will notice that in the Footer of the page it's 11-2014 ) ..

I've sent my application yesterday using the old form, will this be a problem ? should I return it ?
