had one more question.
In her scholarship terms and conditions, there is a clause that she cannot change her citizenship/residency status during the scholarship period. So, I thought if it is possible to issue a visa only for me this time and issue for her after two years.
I doubt if they can issue you visa now and just issue hers in 2 years time. However, she may not accompany you now. That means you would have to apply for her immigrant visa later. Since her data are already in your own application, they would only have to confirm that and you can follow the process for family sponsorship to get her over to you.
On another hand, getting a 2nd citizenship does not automatically change your citizenship from one to another. Depending on your country, most country laws permit dual citizenship. If this is the case for you, she can still land in Canada and still hold her current citizenship.
My brother is currently both a Nigerian and a Canadian. He uses both passports when travelling from Canada home without needing to apply for visas both ways.
Hope you get my point.
All the best
MacFar

While I am in the midst of updating the SS, I have a question pls - Since my spouse and kid are not accompanying me at this time, will the PPC & Medical be still required for both? My understanding states that these will only be required when I sponsor them at a later stage, when their individual files will be in active status. Anyone who has an experience whilst dealing with a scenario like this can share their inputs pls...

Again, my sincere thanks to everyone in this forum, this is definitely a good platform for knowledge sharing!! God Bless you all..

+1 and Congrats!

PCC and Medical requirements are for the purpose of ensuring that those who OBTAIN PERMISSION to enterCanada are in good health and character. As long as your wife and kids are part of application, they're trying to OBTAIN PERMISSION to enter country with maple leaf in its flag.

By all means, yes. Be sure to mention the tracking # of the hard copy in the email.

Thanks again. What do you mean by tracking # of the hard copy? The tracking number the DHL gives e.g.?

Hello Seniors,

I m a 9th June Applicant. Last Sunday I send an email to NDVO from Case Specific Enquiry. I updated them with my Relieving letter by my Employer. Attach it and send it along with a covering letter.

Next day I checked by Inbox and I found an email from NDVO. Listed below...

----- Original Message to DELHI (IMMIGRATION) /Message d'origine à DELHI (IMMIGRATION) -----
This confirms receipt of your email to the New Delhi visa office. We will reply only if your message meets the criteria on
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/enquiry-how_demande-comment.aspx?lang=eng.

Is this what we normally get as a reply after sending an email to NDVO???

Please need comments.....

-Syed7283

Yes,its normal.
They will reply you later or will not reply only update your information.

Thanks Shah2014! Sure, your concerns would have been realistic if the box was going to be purchased in New Delhi, but that's not the case, it's got real British chocolates inside because it's going to be purchased in London.
