Medical received date : 04 - Nov -2014

Hip hip Hurray ;D :D 8)

Congratulations! Almost there!

I'm 27th August applicant. Just guessing if my application has completed its completeness check stage??? Any idea ?

I have a question related to PCC. I moved to new location within same city about 1.5 years ago but soon after moving I got PCC from local police station. It's expiry date has already passed but would it still work? So I have PCC for the complete period I lived there. Kindly suggest, should I get new one from the old police station as well? Of course I will get PCC for my new address.

P.S. The format of PCC is like:

This is to certify that [name] R/O [address] had resided on given address from __ to __
There is nothing adverse against him on the record of local Police Station as reported by [SHO Police Station] ...

Guys Anyone here has done any kind of comparative analysis between Canadian PR to a Australian PR? If yes can you share your thoughts... i guess this would have crossed some of us before we choose Canada

your thoughts please !

Few things I know are:

Australian process is much much more expensive - about US$10,000
Australian process is faster than Canadian one on average
Australian process requires access to much more money, about $50,000 (can be in the form of property) for maintenance
Australia has better weather but it's far more expensive than Canada and jobs are not easy to find!

vvv & Namaste,
Just to add that u can't just land and return to ur base to finally relocate after 3 years. I think there is also the condition of entering Canada at least once in every year to keep the PR. U may want to double check this. All the best

there's no condition to visit every year at least once.

I doubt if they can issue you visa now and just issue hers in 2 years time. However, she may not accompany you now. That means you would have to apply for her immigrant visa later. Since her data are already in your own application, they would only have to confirm that and you can follow the process for family sponsorship to get her over to you.
On another hand, getting a 2nd citizenship does not automatically change your citizenship from one to another. Depending on your country, most country laws permit dual citizenship. If this is the case for you, she can still land in Canada and still hold her current citizenship.
My brother is currently both a Nigerian and a Canadian. He uses both passports when travelling from Canada home without needing to apply for visas both ways.
Hope you get my point.
All the best
MacFar
Yea, I got ur point. I guess, the process of family sponsorship may take a longer time later.
So, landing there and and returning for graduation would be a better idea.
The provision of dual citizenship is not in our country yet.

Dear suhits Yes, i have knowledge about Australian PR.

1) Australian PR Govt. Fee is too higher then Canadian PR.
2) If you have 7 Band in each in IELTS and accumulated 60 points then only apply for it under 189 sub class Independent Visa (where you can go to any part of Australia after ),
otherwise have to wait for other options, which are rare and difficult, like 190 Sub class state sponsorship (have to stay in particular state for 2 year) or 489 sub visa regional sponsorship (have to stay in particular regional area for 2 year).

If you want to know more detail, PM me because this forum is for Canadian PR, i will try to help you with the information whatever i have with Australian PR.

Cheers :) and +1 to you :)

Hi Friends,

Can someone guide me what is the probable date for completeness check.
And in how many days can one expect the application to be returned if its rejected.
I am 7th Aug applicant.

Completeness check is done for August. But you stay positive it is not the right time to think about rejection. No newsis good news. CIO is charging july. Stay positive and pray hard

Good luck
