I sent the courier on 31st oct via UPS with expected date of delivery as 5th nov

today the status of my courier says "05/11/2014 9:28 The receiving business was closed"

I am really surprised...was there an off today??? Huh

Can someone pleasetell the working hours of CIC as this information provided to me by ups looks bit odd

How does after landing process work if I wish to leave Canada in 2 weeks after landing?

I would not have an address in Canada. How would I obtain PR card and Social Insurance Number and other documents?

The PR card will be sent to a Canadian address only, and if you live in a country where you need a visa to enter Canada, you can't re-enter without your PR card, as the FSW visa is a single entry visa.

This means you will have to find someone who will receive your PR card, SIN card, etc at their address then send them on to you wherever you are, so you can re-enter Canada.

Plan accordingly!

What happens if me and my wife gets PR Visa and only i travel to Canada and get PR card. Would my spouse also need to travel along with me to activate her permanent residency? What happens if she fails to travel along with me and her PR visa expires, do I have to sponsor her fresh PR application?

Her visa will expire either one year from the date of your medicals or on the date her passport expires, whichever is earlier. If it expires and she hasn't landed, she loses PR. You would have to sponsor her as a spouse, from square one. Ill advised.

We finally managed to compile everything and submitted our documents last week. Unfortunately I forget to include the additional family information form (5406) for the accompanying wife. Is there any way to post it separately?

Yes you can, but there is no guarantee it will be matched up with the rest of your application.

Include a cover letter with full details of your name, date of birth, passport number, UCI (if you have one), etc. so there is a better chance of it being matched up. Good luck.

This is the regular format.....They send two email....one for MR instruction another is for MR form.....Just as urs.........

I have applied for Canada PR under FSW.
When I check my current status it says 'in process'. It says the application has began processing since Sept 8th.

However I have not received any communication since then.

Need help. Is this normal? Anyone else like me?

Dear vvv I'll take the visa for her no problem... just kidding... she can do the landing and go back to her country, she wont be changing her residence though.. after two years when she finishes her studies she goes to Canada again but remember that she has to live in Canada for 2 years in the last 5 years so she will have 3 years left after her studies to live in Canada at least 2 years.

I think thats the best solution... also you can take the residence and 1 year before or so that she finish her studies you apply for her Canadian Residence (Familiar Reunion)...

had one more question.
In her scholarship terms and conditions, there is a clause that she cannot change her citizenship/residency status during the scholarship period. So, I thought if it is possible to issue a visa only for me this time and issue for her after two years.

Not unless you apply for her separately. Better to let her land, get the PR card, and then return when she can. She only needs to stay for 2/5 years to maintain PR.

Which VO? Different VOs do it differently. I got MR+PCC together with no RPRF, but NDVO applicants seem to get all 3 together.
