Hello,

My initial application was returned on the grounds "insufficient evidence of work duties for primary NOC". In the returned application, CIC had written UCI in pencil on the Generic Application form. I have re-sent the application with a letter of my current duties/responsibilities from my employer. My questions are thus:-

1. I have mentioned the UCI on the new application, will it bypass/leapfrog the queue and give me some priority/leverage.

2. I am NOC 2171 and want to know my chances as I hope its not too late.

Can you provide your duties and what you resent so that experts can comment on why yours was retruned. It will help others who are just preparing there application.

Dear Forumates!

I'm 10 july app, DD payment but no news yet! not enchased nor PER!

my ECAS was showing nothing last night and today just checked as every morning and PUMMMM "In Process" I dont know if I should jump of happiness or not!

I was expecting "we received your app on july 10"

Please advice!!!!

It means your DD has been encashed and you will receive PER soon.

Dears,

I want to share my unfortunate experience with everyone who has submitted in May-Jun and whose credit cards have not been charged yet.

I couriered my application on 12th May'14 which reached CIC on 21st May'14. Unfortunately, I received the rejected application via post on 23rd Oct'14 with the reason stated as "insufficient evidence of work duties for primary NOC". The painful bit is that it was rejected on 17th Aug as per CIC stamp and took more than 2 months to reach me. Had I known or informed about it earlier via email, I could have submitted again and would have been in a better position.

So if you have submitted in May (like me) or June, most likely your application has not received PER. I wish all the luck to other May-Jun aspirants and I sincerely hope you are luckier than me.

I did call PSK as i also have 5 month old PCC , though i have nt recv MR yet , but wanted to be prepared , but got the update from PSK call center that for the sdame country you cannot request a PCC before 6 months

5 month old PCC will do. No need for a new PCC. PCC validity is 1 year unless specifically mentioned otherwise.

3 months clause for PCC validity is applicable only at the time of filing fresh application, not at the time of MR.

I have slightest of doubt that i did not sign my Additional Family Information form. Unfortunately i could not save a copy of this form only before sending my application package to CIC. But i did sign attached annex exhibiting list of my family members. I am reluctant to resend one page of Additional Family Information form as it may take my application to end of que. What you people suggest?

If you don't resend that one page of additional family information, it may take your application to the other side of the world i.e. back to your home... :P

Send it asap buddy.... Otherwise it will fail completeness check... :)

Sorry to hear that my friend, may god be with you if you are applying in 2015 EOI process. God bless and be calm. :)

If you don't like UK winters you sure as heck won't like Canadian winters!

The main reason I don't like UK winter is that UK winters tend to be very dark and gloomy. Very little sunshine. Very short days i.e it starts getting dark around 3.30 PM in December and we get very low dark clouds pretty much every day with windy and drizzly weather. Even days feel like nights.

It does get cold, but it hasn't snowed much for last 3 years. So far I have not had any problem with the cold temperature. I did not hate it even when it was -8 C last winter. But I did hate the fact that I did not see sunshine for almost 2-3 months!

Plus I feel people in the UK don't tend to embrace the winter. There is not much to do during winters apart from drinking down the local pub.

Hopefully, Canadian winters will be more sunnier and people will embrace the winter and live thru it instead of trying to just escape the country!

I think Vancouver / BC doesn't have as cold winters as in other parts of Canada.

I do hear people using words like "harsh" and "brutal" to describe Canadian winters. Does it really get brutal in say for example Toronto? This of course make me feel a bit scared.

Hi,

Prepare a cover letter explaining the POD of earlier package, date your complete details like name, dob, passport number, and mail them another package asap. also, once you get this package delivered, fax them the details of this package and your earlier one so they can easily match :)

God bless and start working

Received RPRF request from NDVO today...

App reached to CIC Sydney - 28/May

PER email received - 24/Sept

Unknowingly, I had done upfront medicals in April prior to sending application. Sent medical information along with a cover letter within application set. 3rd line added in ECAS today that 'Medicals have been received'.

I have been asked to pay RPRF only for spouse & myself. I understand that it is not applicable for my 4.5 yr old child. Someone please confirm.

Also, I have been asked to provide 'COPY of ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE' of child. Has someone else also been asked for a similar thing ? Also, I understand this as photocopy of birth certificate only. Why are they asking this even if it (a copy) was provided along with application itself.
