I kinda know, for I live here. And I am trying to find out how is your statement connected to what I was asserting in the initial post (that PR is considered PR without his PR card and is free to move and work anywhere in Canada).

Stamp is considered PR, I don't dispute that.

But to say that as a blanket statement without considering all the implications is dangerous. Because a person who needs a visa to enter Canada, and doesn't yet have a PR card, who tries to re-enter Canada just by showing the stamp could be refused. For that person, the card is essential. Many people on this forum are in that situation, and asking about leaving for a while after PR is a common question on this forum. I'd hate for them to get the impression that they can leave and re-enter without the card.

My application reached on 12th Aug (cc charged on 10th Sep) and tomorrow it will be 12 weeks. I called up FBI customer care and my application is still in process. Right now they are processing 8th Aug applications. So they asked me to call back on Thursday and check the status again. So it is taking more than 12 weeks to process and it may get further delayed.

Its better to write to CIC to get some extension for submitting US PCC. I had written a mail to NDVO and they gave me extension of 20 days.
This is very unprofessional on their part.

I heard from an unconfirmed source (this person took part in a recent CIIP seminar and heard this over there) that around Nov 15 the CIC folks would be busy with their annual employee family reunion. If so, it would mean a delay in charge/issuance of PER for late July/early-mid Aug applicants. Mine reached on 8th Aug, so I'm too facing a possible delay :(.

Having said that, if CIC does go on with this break then it would be a well deserved one for the people working at CIO. These people are certainly working hard for our betterment (it may seem slow to us, but going going through a mountain of paperwork day in, day out is certainly tedious beyond imagination). I wouldn't grudge them for this break.

PS: I am in no way certain of this news, however this was shared to forewarn others incase there is a delay after Nov 15 and people are looking for causes.

This applies only to CIC employees stationed abroad. CIO employees reunite with families after 16:30 everyday.

Guys i have very good news for you all, after sometime of having the hesitation about the CAP updates and how it is being estimated and either for completeness check or CC charge or PER. i decided earlier last month to send an email to CIC asking about that specifically. here below the reply i got today

Dear Sir/Madam:

The website provides an estimate only of the applications included in the cap.

Until the application is checked for completeness, it cannot be confirmed as being received. Once it has been determined that the submission is complete, it is counted in the cap and the information is updated electronically. Due to high volumes of submissions, there is a lag between confirmation of receipt of a complete application and the electronic update of the cap count.

I am early may 2014 applicant. I got MR before a month ago(no RPRF) from New York VO. Done with Medical, Ecas status updated a week after with "Medical Received".

Few Days back I got an email for Interview. They asked me to bring all evidence of current employment in Canada (i.e. Pay stubs, bank statement, yearly appraisal letters, photos of work place, etc. ). That's all they told me to bring. What documents should I take with me apart from one mentioned above ?? .

File transferred from CPC-Ottawa to New York VO before month and half ago.

Please Help.

The only way to learn what happened to the addendum is write an email (CSE) to CIO. the link in my sig will provide you with all details.

If Ottawa forwards the file to NYVO it's 100% sure that the applicant will have an interview. The list covers pretty much every single document related to your life, so I am confident you won't need anything else.
