safer regarding what ?

CCs have the following dangers, some of which have happened to forum members and have resulted in returned applications:

1. expiration
2. credit limit
3. international transactions limited/blocked
4. fraud detection system thinks CIC is a fraudulent transaction and denies it
5. bank automatically issues new credit card and deactivates old one
6. your information is hacked and you have to deactivate the card
7. you lose your card and have to deactivate it

Hey Grooby,

Don't panic. Get in touch with robsmann and SonOfOdin, both of whom had new CC details sent and then successfully charged. Confirm what all they mentioned. Though what you have planned is already exhaustive, still confirming would ensure you are not missing anything.

Best of luck, you'll make it!

THanks for the references man .... I'll surely get in touch with them... +1 to you ..

I claimed for full point from my work exp... But CIC has indicated that my job responsibilities don't match with my 1st job... So now I'm short of 2 points n that lead to returned application.. NOC 2281...

Now I hv to re do Ielts as I score only 19 points...
can you share why couldn't you get points for your work ex ?

Hello Guys....When sending the application by courier, do I have to write my NOC code anywhere on the mailing label or just send it to below address?

Citizenship & Immigration Canada
Canadian Experience Class
Centralized Intake Office
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

SOMEONE PLEASE ADVICE!!!

In my background declaration form I overlooked question D and mistakenly ticked NO. I had a US visitor visa refusal in the past which was overturned recently but I should have ticked YES but I didn't read full question, initial part of question was about refugee or immigrant visa app. This error was of course unintentional. My CC has been charged and I may receive PER soon so I don't know what can / should I do in this situation? I don't want my application to be refused with misinterpretation or false sense claim.

The truth is that a chunk of the applications CIC will come across will always be 2174 (since it is a hot NOC). Now that the CAP is reached, they will just skip every 2174, which makes the processing of others faster than usual. I think that makes sense.

Thanks for the understanding

I think I made a mistake in filling this field. I was once denied usa visitor visa but that decision was over turned in next application and now I have a usa visa so I am not sure if I should have ticked Yes here. If what I did was wrong then how do I correct this?

The thing to do would have been to tick yes, and explain that you were first rejected but eventually approved, and cite the factors that were in your favor to help get the approval, if you know what they are.

If you wish to correct this you could in theory send a new form to CIC (if you are not yet in the date range to be charged) or wait until you get PER then send a CSE to your local VO. You could also choose to leave it uncorrected. Nobody can say for sure whether they CIC will find out or not. They do security checks, and the governments of Canada and the USA work together closely on many issues of this type, and it is well know that they routinely share security database information, so I think it's possible this information would come up in the security check, but again nobody can say for sure. If it does come up and you have failed to disclose it that could cause a problem for you. On the other hand, if it otherwise wouldn't come up, correcting your form now could cause the same problem. It's up to you what to do.

@ Gensch

Dinlenmek!!! your app was received on 13th August, CIC is still working on June/July apps...... your's is still sitting under loads of other apps trying hard to catch single molecule of air ... let it catch some fresh air (expected over next 3-4 weeks) and then it will appear in their records.

HELP! :'(

I received an email from CIC saying that they have no record of my application as a response to my email enquiry. I sent my application by FedEX and have the proof of delivery. I provided CIC the tracking number, but haven't heard from them. Has anyone had a similar experience? My application appears to have got lost after reaching CIC! What a waste of time, money, etc...What am I supposed to do? Calling them is useless. :(

The "devil1234" entry for 2174 where it mentioned CC charged for 4th Jul application seems fake..
i. there is no such id on canadavisa.
ii. the entry was created and updated at the same time.

but still.. there were a couple of guys whose applications were received on 23rd/24th and got a CC charged for NOC 2174...
so does that mean that there is still hope for 2174 applicants??

You have to make 100 points with id's and your form along with id's scan copy need to send via e mail.. for ID's you can attach passport copy and visa letter/income tax return or Oz bank statement ..I got the notification in 3 days stating that your NPC processed and despatched to nominated address by regular post.
