Have you not included the Affidavit in the absence of a BC ? A passport is just a travel document as per CIC and they won't consider it as DOB proof.

A 10th Passing certificate along with affidavit needs to be sent in such cases. If not already sent, pls send an affidavit now to CIC and also an email to CIC mentioning tracking details and your personal details.

Do you have any affidavit format handy to share....if yes, will be really helpful and secondly as no UCI is generated then what all should I mention as my tracking details..I knw these are stupid ? but please do help that what exactly I need to mention in my cover letter along with the affidavit???

CLB Level Points Awarded Per Ability Speaking Listening Reading Writing Total
9 (High) 6 7 8 7 7 24
8 (Moderate) 5 6.5 7.5 6.5 6.5 20
7 (Basic/Low) 4 6 6 6 6 16

This is how it is calculated.
if you get 7 in speaking and writing 7 (first line) :-6*2=12
if you get 7.5 in listening and 6.5 in reading (second line):- 5*2 =10
TOTAL of 22 points

Hey thanks a lot ..

my wife is the principal applicant so her score is
Speaking - 7
Writing- 7
Reading- 6.5
Listening- 6.5

before applying the file we calculated a total of 16 points for her ielts .. but now a lot of people here are calculating points a different way and its really good to know if Visa officers really calculate points this way . we would directly make a score of 72 points . Thanks for your help appreciate it .

Congratulations.

Whats your application date?

I haven't got full experience as a DBA, but have master in Datawarehousing. I have been told by friends over there as well as read on many Job portals that its beneficial to have certification if you don't have canadian experience for better chance of landing a good Job.

Whereas salary wise it depends on the province as well as the post you are applying, but for us newbies(with no Canadian experience) to the Canadian market I would suggest my expectation around 70-80K if lucky. I have got 5 Yrs of exp.

Hi -

a little out of topic, is there any DBA people here who have
research for DBA jobs in canada? Can you share how much is the
average salary of a DBA in Canada? Do they require certifications?

Thanks!

Just wanted to share something:

For last 4 years or so I have been crossing Canada High Commission Delhi twice a day once on my way to office in Gurgaon and once on return.
I still do.

Never knew this very embassy will be instrumental in changing my life for good :)
