I mentioned my Aadhar number in NID field in the form.
Also sent notarised copy of it. Dont know if it made any difference as such.

I did the same. I believe in submitting anything and everything that establishes our identity clearly.

Its depend on case by case.... today i saw one person who got PPR.. for me i did medicals and today they added "medical received". In ur case if there is no such complications (medical,criminal) then hopefully in a week or so..

is that so.. cause i completed my medicals in Sep and the status changed to medical received around 29th, but still have not got any communication from NVDO... Also i have not seen any Passport request for NVDO applicants.

Can you tell me which applicant has got PPR from NVDo

Can someone please clarify my query

My wife is the principal applicant and I am the dependent

My DOB is March 1981...I didnt had any birth certificate and provided Tenth Certificate as my DOB proof.

Is that fine or will there be an issue?

Does your 10th certificate have the names of both your parents? If so, then you can use it as DOB proof. If not, it will not be accepted by CIC.

how do I know which VO they are going to send my file now?
and how long should I expect any further communication from them?

Congrats and +1 to you !!

You will be assigned the VO that you had selected in the application form. If you have left it blank, then you will be assigned the VO closest to you. If from India, you will be assigned NDVO (New Delhi VO)

India does not have any national id, the closest is adhar card.
but passport is definitely not national id, its just a document to leave the indian ports

Will not be an issue. Application will still be processed, just that the PAN CARD details will be ignored. Ideally NID needs to be left blank for INDIA..

Just wanted to share something:

For last 4 years or so I have been crossing Canada High Commission Delhi twice a day once on my way to office in Gurgaon and once on return.
I still do.

Never knew this very embassy will be instrumental in changing my life for good

Use an affidavit mentioning all details along with 10th passing certificate.
