Obviously, I don`t have a UCI number as of now til I dont hear anything from them....so how do I tell them about my file?

I tried out to contact CIC through phone without UCI number, but i couldn't contact them bcos automated voice repeatedly asking for UCI number and at last phone line got disconnected.

You should and can mention that experience without reference letter (no points you get for that 1 year though), as you already have enough points I guess.

Aadhaar card is not accepted by CIC as a NATIONAL IDENTITY DOCUMENT

I mentioned my Aadhar number in NID field in the form.
Also sent notarised copy of it. Dont know if it made any difference as such.

Not to worry if you filled it with AAdhar or Passport or any other ID...not an issue at all if from country that does not provide National Identity Document.

PAN CARD is also not accepted as national Identity document.

So leave the NID blank or if at all you are keen to mention, then mention Passport details again, though ideally should be left blank.

India does not have any national id, the closest is adhar card.
but passport is definitely not national id, its just a document to leave the indian ports

It will have no negative impact, rest assured..But ideally should have been left blank.

Only passport is an NID. So leave the NID blank or mention Passport details again if you don't want to leave blank.
