After applying for FSW,I changed my daughter's first name legally and got a new passport. Should I inform CIC after getting the PER mail or to the local VO?Could you please tell me whether any document needs to be prepared like affidavit.Will this cause any problem to my visa processing?

Away from the forms, you said you scanned the whole file, share here what you have sent and we can judge uf something was missed, also make sure that forms were completed, dated and signed

Hello Guys,

Can we show Public Provident Fund(PPF) and National Saving Certificates(NSC) as Assets? If yes, then do we need to attach proofs of assets with appllication.

Thanks in advance

proof only needs to be given for Settlement funds. Only the withdrawable amount from PPF and NSC, if any can be shown as settlement funds and you need to give POF for the same. These instruments have a lock in period and hence entire amount cannot be shown as Settlement funds.

hi everyone may i know when does the CIC call your bank for settlement fund infos?is it during the completeness check in CIO or is it after you receive your PER and your application reached your local VO?thank you..

CIC/VO never contacts Bank. bank is not supposed to give info about their customers to third party.

If CIC/VO needs any info, they will contact the applicant himself for further proofs. Most of the times this may be after PER, but CIC/VO does it only where they have a doubt on the genuineness of the docs provided by the applicant.

case details below

just got email 45 minutes earlier today . Cic office we choose is ottawa since after working in India , my younger sibling study in Toronto, canada

Note, I was stressed out , when saw 12th june CC payment started getting charged last week. Since our DD was not encased last week
it must have been en-chased now. Anyway, best of luck to all applicants

Hi guys. Please I need some advice..
I am a Temporary Worker here in Alberta.and on August 2014 I met a girl from Vancouver she is a PR.
We are now in a Long Distance Relationship so we are planning to get married on December 2014 so we could be together after she sponsors me. Do we have a chance for approval even if we just met on August in a Long Distance Relationship, will get married in December and apply sponsorship maybe on February 2015? (We have continuous communications, videos,skype, phone records, we visit each others place and we are also applying for a joint bank account) Is itpossible enough if we present those proofs (we will also add wedding pics after our wedding) that our relationship is genuine? please help..thanks

Going to Update the SS..

Few blunders/mistakes I have made in application -
- No name in native language
- I don't have BC, so got no found certificate from Municipal(native language), got it translated, attested from notary. Attached 10th certificate. Didn't attach notary certificate
- I have 10 years of experience, but in my duties reference letter I gave JD of latest designation (which comes under 3-4 years experience) so CIC might have considered points accordingly.

P.S. It's my husband birthday today so its double celebration time
